GREAT find! I already have 10 of these batteries, but at that price I couldn't resist adding a few more (try guessing which buyer I am :))

Damn, you bought 8 packs? I got two, that makes a grand total of 36 batteries ready to power my "Sentorch" for a VERY long time!

Thanks for sharing this deal!

8 packs?!?! Nice! It really is a steal at that price, I tell you... Once I saw it I looked at the bank... Then decided... Ahh.... what the hell... I need it anyway when I get my SenTorch anyway ;)

12 packs for about $8 a piece... these batteries are worth $6 a piece... how can you say no?

Glad you guys liked it... and always happy to share a good deal; :)

Thanks Daedal for posting this deal. I bought a pack. I was wondering how I was going to get batteries for my "sentorch". I tried batteryjunction.com, but it was never delivered to me, and they say that they do not have them either so I am out about $20.

;D Sorry about that! Can't say you don't exactly deserve it though if you ended up their on your own will.

As for the argon, you may have already seen it, but this is the only decent pic I have online so far: http://www.pseudonomen.com/lasers/argses2.jpg

I have a few pics and about 15 minutes of video of my 200mW argon to browse through when I have some free time. When I finally get around to that I'll try to get some more stuff posted.

I tried taking pics with 2 argons on at once, but between a 1050W fogger, the two argons, and a squirrel-cage blower for one of the argons, the breaker just couldn't handle it, and my extension cord felt ready to melt when I tried using other outlets.

Oh man! I spent a whole night up cleaning that damn table. They had it covered with weird sharpie marks and horrible caked-on gluish stuff. Used an entire bottle of adhesive remover and a roll of paper towels to get all that stuff off over a period of ~6 hours (not to mention getting a 100lb rectangle with sharp edges up a flight of stairs). And after all that, the most use I've gotten out of that table was as a rack for cooling chocolate!

Now I just have stack of batteries and other crap piled all over it (that's the pile I had to search through to find those violet diodes I sold you)

Oh... WOW!! That thing is AMAZING! I love how it gets you down to the near UV on one of those lines... :D
That is one hell of a deal! I'm so happy for you man. I would love to get my hands on something this sweet. Was it in good shape when you took it out? How many hours are on it? I think that's what I'm saving up for next ;D

I love the yellow you have against the door from the green+red as well... It's pretty much PURE yellow! I truly love that picture.

Yep, I'm very happy about this argon. I bought it expecting a <25mW single-line, and accidentally gave my finger a bad burn on that assumption. Turns out its a 200mW multi-line, which helps make up for the other 2mW argons I've pretty much paid just as much for.

Its in fine operating shape if I just want to get laser out of it, but doesn't look like it will work for its original forensics purpose. I took apart some of it and some of the wires were pretty worn out but that wasn't hard to fix. No idea about tube hours unfortunately, didn't have the courage to dismantle it that far yet.

I didn't even notice that green/red combo until you mentioned it! I was just looking to let the beams pass out the door otherwise the diffuse reflection lit up the whole room (making the argon look weaker), but I didn't want to open it too much and let all the fog leave. I guess they just barely clipped the door in the process. The green is a 150mW and the red is 800mW 660nm, though both put out more than those ratings (the red isn't mine unfortunately).
