Hey folks, I thought I would post this here before offering it to the "general public" since I'm sure the LPF community contains a few people who would love to give a good home to a Hercules but don't want a second mortgage to do so!
We recently had a Hercules-300 come through testing which performs at an average of 313.4mW with a peak of 471.6mW. This laser performs perfectly, the only problem is that it has minor cosmetic issues which prevent us from selling it as "new". Basically the heat sink on the head has some dings and scratches which occurred during manufacturing (they are UNDER the paint). Everything else about the laser is fine and it will still have the standard 6-month warranty, but it's just not up to our normal standards in terms of appearance.
The regular price for the Hercules-300 is USD $1389.00 and the price for this unit has been discounted to USD $989.00, so you can save $400! To reiterate: it works fine, still has a warranty and still comes with the carrying case. If you have any other questions or would like to see pictures of the heat sink please send me a message. To be honest, the damage is so superficial I would personally be quite satisfied if I was to buy this laser, but we just don't feel like it's fair to sell it as new in this condition. Contact me via PM or at Laserglow: firstname.lastname@example.org or 416.729.7976
THIS UNIT IS NOW SOLD. Sorry fellows, but somebody was very quick to pull the trigger and snatch this one up. I will leave it up to the new owner if he wants to make it public, but unfortunately this offer is now over. I'll be sure to offer any more discounted/refurb units here first, so keep your eyes peeled because obviously these things don't last long!
Justin - Thanks for letting us know first. You may want to set up a PM list of people who are very interested to make sure the post isn't overlooked. I missed out on this one - whoever bought it will be VERY happy... :'(
Sorry Steve! Honestly I was contacted in a matter of minutes from the time I made the post, I wouldn't have even had the time to PM. Plus it wouldn't be fair to just send it to a small list. Better to put it in the open and let the fastest draw stand, that's the way you Texans like to settle things, right?
