Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

susie thanks for answering my questions.
Pot mod means that the module is for example 50mw. They get it and modify the pot and make it increase abit higher in mW. Basically Mod means Modifying.

Is there an IR filter in the module? Be careful with your answer because the output wavelengths and power will be tested if I buy one and the results published here.

Did you get a confirmation yet concerning the IR filter??  I'd hate to be undersold a product that is posted as 100mw but has 75mw of IR output.

I had a friend buy me a 100mw off e-bay and had it spike to 110+ then drop down to 20 with-in a few seconds.. then dropped down to 5.. disappointed and what made me go to these forums to make my own  :p

While I haven't tried the modules, I'm NOT impressed with the Aconsen 200mw Green Laser I just received today;

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

Susie told me there is no IR filter in her least expensive modules and pointers. She can supply those but at a higher cost.

I have been very satisfied with the modules and pointers I got from her. The power reading of course is higher than the amount of green you are getting because of the IR.

I especially like the modules. It is fun to make your own DIY greens in different hosts. Personally I don't care about the IR component as long as  I know it is there and act accordingly with eye protection. I like the lower price. I can add my own IR filter to  the DIYs if I want it, but each to his own.

Just my $.02 (with the way the world economy is going that is now my $.01 worth  :'( )

Yea but the readings I got are the SUM all of wavelengths, the measurements are taken with a Thermopile Sensor, not a photoelectric one........I realize the screen shot shows my reference shows appears to be set to 532nm but it really is not; per Coherent......the Meter and Sensor is passing the SUM of all wavelengths, the only way I can exclude all IR is to use a filter in-front of the Sensor, and I am not.

BEFORE YOU BUY SOMETHING I SUGGEST YOU READ THIS

- Customer Service Blows
- They wont take returns and will argue with you until the end of time about their great engineers who test the units
- They say they test the units beforehand. (Forum Member received a dead one)
- Selling products that can really mess up yours eyes without IR protection
- But there are ppl who get some good stuff, but so far from what I've been reading it's only the stull less than 50mw

Sorry, but this seller is blacklisted in my books

I think we should take a step back and give Susie a chance to make things right. It has been less than 24 hr's since he has had the problem. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Pls don't make an conclusion before you know the story . the product Electron got I admit it is without IR filter , but price is cheap . I have good quality ,with IR filter and can conduct 24 hours .but price is expensive . don't strict with my cheap products .
one more time to say , our QC test power using our power meter which is testing sum of all wavelength .not just 532nm .
If electron don not like it and insist to say it is underpowered then return it back . we will check with our power meter again .if power is underpowered as he said , I apologize and replacement a new .or refund you money .
i am responsible seller . will face up every complaint from customer . a good seller is not just selling good items but also good customer service
sorry my english is not good enough .hope you can understand .

Ohh I'll stand by my own opinion and I'll share it with everyone.

How can you justify that you have good customer service when it's evident that Electron has a problem with your product, but you STILL refuse to have it returned for a refund or even provide him with a replacement in exchange for his defective one?  Why did he have to go through all this trouble in writing e-mail after e-mail to you... but when I start posting in your thread my opinion you suddenly feel like having it returned???  Maybe it's because I spoke up which could cost you customers.

!!!!~PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE~!!!!

Below is after your 4th e-mail to him.  He clearly did his test WITHOUT an IR filter.

Then you go and tell him to test it somewhere else???  nice customer service... you should have already replaced his unit when he first e-mailed you.  Not after I started pointing out that you have horrible customer service.

Dear Joe ,

May I know for what use  you bought this green laser torch ? you can see it is very bright and visible  in the night and I am sure it is enough 200mw at power .  and you will see it is cool design and good feel in hand .  it is sold well to many other  customers who don't reflect our power is underpowered .
now we arguing  is no sense as we test it at 200mw but you test it 87mw with your power meter . our QC inspected our products depend on our equipment because we can not use many kinds of power meters as we have many customers ,if everyone ask us to test as their powermeter ,we can not afford .
Can you understand me ? or I suggest you test it with other type power meters  ,you can borrow it from others  .can you agree ?

Thanks

Susie

Then he tests the unit WITH an IR FILTER.. and gets 48% loss on top of his original reading........

Thanks brtaman.

Now you want to hear what bites even more than that?

I just brought home with me an optical filter, that Filters both 808nm and 1064nm infra-red light, placing it in the path of the Laser beam further reduces the output by a shocking 48% loss off of my original readings                                 .

Then you decide to RETEST the unit on your testing units instead of replacing it for him... give him a new one... then test the defective unit later.. and if it meets the 200mw he bought then just repachage it and resell it.  Why does he have to wait when he paid all this money already then has to pay to ship it back to you also???  just for what... to test it??

Don't beat me always , I really don't know he has tested without IR filter . i am not good in english . I never said won't replace it and refund it . as i want to let him test and use other power meters to test .so that I can decide to how to do . afterall retrun freight and time is much to afford . I am responsible for any defective products initial ,not because saw your post .

Then tell him that you'll replace it for him with one that isn't defective.  Why are you trying to justify everything with him by making him e-mail you back and forth.. just take it back.. send him one that isn't defective.. and he'll be happy.

Why did you have to bring it this far to begin with?  If you exchanged it on his first e-mail then I wouldn't have to stick up for him.

JUST TELL HIM THAT YOU"LL EXCHANGE IT FOR A NEW ONE ALREADY
STOP TRYING TO ARGUE WITH ME AND TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY YOU SAY YOU HAVE AND GIVE HIM A NEW ONE THAT WORKS

Re: GREEN LASER MODULE at price $10.50. last 7days

telling a customer that he's tested it wrong is bad customer service. You obviously don't know the rules of customer service.

#1 the customer is ALWAYS right.
#2 if the customer isn't right refer to rule #1.

His meter is better than yours I can guarantee that it's got a more accurate reading of ALL wavelengths than yours not just 532nm. No thermal power meter can just read one wavelength. it reads them all at once. As you say... The sum of all wavelengths.

What's to stop you, once you have laser in hand, from not testing it at all, stating the laser is putting out what it was supposed to and blowing him off.

We are not laser illiterate. We know probably more about lasers than your technicians do. Trust when we say that the laser is not putting out the power that is stated and refund or replace his laser. Simple as that.

Don't use your lack of knowledge of the English language as an excuse as to why you refused to repair, replace, or refund the laser.

Your dealing with overseas customers.

So what happens if you test it on a machine and says it's ok.... no apology?? no return?? he gets the old one back which he is unhappy with??   NO.. YOU GIVE HIM A NEW ONE THAT WORKS AND REPACKAGE AND RESELL THE OLD ONE (assuming everything is 100% as advertised with it).

You should give him the option to REPLACE IT or REFUND IT regardless if it is underpowered after what you put your customer through and after he tested his unit.

This could have easily been avoided if you just replaced it for him to begin with.
Don't test it and give him what he had before.. give him a new one that works as advertiesed.

Let's put it this way....

If you buy a laptop... and it says it has a 17' screen but it only has a 15" screen when you get it.... wouldn't you want to return it for the 17" you wanted new... or do you really want a laptop with a 17" screen installed on the 15" body that you had the first time?? Do you really want the screen to stick out when you close it?
