Unfortunaly the module have a big divergence. Have a look on the beam shot at 2m "38 mRad" :'(

I got mine today  :D

When I first ordered it on the 18th of Feb. Susie warned me that they were out of stock and that the tentative date for restocking was the 7th Mar. Of course, I took that date with a grain of salt (I work in the IT sector and IT projects are never on time...  ::)) But to my utter surprise she shipped it on the 8th!!!

Anyways, I got it today (but customs had already processed it Monday) so it took eight business days to get here ("here" being Austria). I didn't have to pay anything nor was there any worries of Customs issues as Susie declared the contents as "Electronics for Sample" at a value of $10. Thus, I didn't have to pay anything  :D

My only criticism (regarding shipping) is that the packaging was pretty much "a la DX" and I am relieved that the driver (& it's connection to the module) didn't get damaged... but I can imagine such a scenario since there is no host protecting the drive-module assembly...  :-/

I was also a bit surprised that although there is (limited) tracking the package wasn't sent "registered" like DX does. Maybe @$100 or less it's not worth it to O-Like but I would certainly hope that the more expensive items are sent registered.

But that's just my two cents on the positive "on time" results with O-Like  :) I still have to test it & then assemble it into my Groovy which I wll do tonight.

Stay tuned...  ;)

I received the return module today, but we test there is no any prblem with adjustment focus .if the dot is big ,at that time you should rotate the cap in opposite direction then beam will be narrower and narrower .

Is there an IR filter in the module? Be careful with your answer because the output wavelengths and power will be tested if I buy one and the results published here.

no from o like you have to actually buy an ir filtered module but theyre pretty pricy

So, what's the divergence like on the 80~100mW modules?

I realize this won't exactly answer your question but I have the 120~150mW module and the divergence is 2.0, which is a bit higher than my 50mW Leadlight-hosted pointer which measures at 1.2... .

O-Like 120~150mW module

I still have to test it & then assemble it into my Groovy which I wll do tonight. Stay tuned... *;)

As noted elsewhere, I finally got an LPM (a Ken-o-meter, yeah, that's the ticket ) yesterday! Well of course I tested all of my lasers, including the JayRob Groovy Green I built using this 120~50mW module. As also stated elsewhere, the module fell far short of the 120~50mW rating and imho, I believe I got what looks like to be a first-class <50mW module be accident. Susie doesn't quite agree but to her credit, she has asked me to send the module back for testing & eventual replacement.

The pics below show the results before & after IR filtration and the modest 17% loss in power. The Groovy Green is powered by a fully-charged 3.6V CR123A.

Susie,

I mailed it off today, registered priority letter, enclosed in an anti-electrostatic bag & bubble wrap, not to mention in a little carton box to help protect the driver from being accidentally bent, etc. The module-driver is (of course) in proper working condition.

You should have it by this time next week, latest.
