Hey,

I might be wrong about this - but are you sure it's a problem with the lens?
It looks a lot more like it's not holding Tem00

Thoughts?

I got excited, I saw "Gold 120$" and though this was a 589nm laser for 120$. I wish...

@ ARGLaser: HAHA No its not a gold 589nm laser. I would not be selling that lol

and @ rhd yes it does need a new lens. the reason it looks like that is because is does NOT have a lens and needs one :) The lens window/shutter was not fully open.

Hey,

Count me as potentially interested, but can you take a low-exposure photo of the dot?

I'm concerned that it may not be in Tem00, but Tem01. I don't have the skill to fix that, but if it's just the missing lens then that's no problem.

I yanked the contrast on a screencap from that video, and I think it looks like Tem01:

It may have been in TEM01 because it is very cold in my basement. I left it upstairs and then took this picture after it was on for about 45 seconds

Here i Hope this is what you were looking for?

Re: Gold SkyLaser PL-C $120 USD 250mW 532nm

High powered DPSS lasers will prefer to run at anything other than TEM00. If it's running in TEM01, it means it's using more of the cavity thus producing a higher output than TEM00.

I've rarely seen a green laser over 200mW that will hold TEM00.

Re: Gold SkyLaser PL-C $120 USD 250mW 532nm

If I may ask another question - what does the actual lens assembly look like?

I'm trying to figure out whether I'd be able to source the lens. Is it missing just the lens, or also some sort of bracket/fitting ?

The greens I've seen of that general body type tend to have a sort of fitting that holds what appears to be an M8x0.5 (not M9) lens.
