FS: X-Drive V6 Mini....





Its been a Wail since i actual posted a Thread on these and is why iam Making this thread. There has been quit a few Regular members buying the driver then asking me for the info thread or something they can link too. Well I figured to put everything in this one thread.:cool:


Most of you know the X-Drive V6 has been around for quit a long time now around 1 Year and has been proven to work good.:) Ive Sold Over 1200 drivers as of Jan, 07 2013 with yet to have anyone come back to me with an Issue with them.:wave:

I take alot of Pride in my work especially drivers. You will see this in the pictures and if you ever bought one.:) Ive made many drivers and many versions of the X-Drive . I even have a 3A X-Boost V7 coming soon with NO Release date Yet.;)

The specific X-Drive V6 iam speaking of and that is for sale in this thread is the Mini X-Drive V6 .

Iam going to try to keep all my driver stuff in this thread so your not jumping from thread to thread. I have many more releases to come.:whistle:

Here is some information on the drivers:

I can set the driver at basically any currant you want.:)

Most Popular i noticed are:

120mA
170mA
190mA
450mA
500mA
550mA
950mA
1A
1.2A
1.5A
1.65A
1.74A
1.76A
1.8A
1.82
1.9A
2.0A
2.1A
2.2A
2.3A
You get the Point.... :)

Basically i can set it to any currant you want with most of the time being within 10mA.:)

So Remeber ^The list above is just what i see most people ordering but i can set the driver as low as you want and as high as up to ~ 3.6A.


Spec:

Driver Kind - Buck
Currant Range - 5mA to 2900mA with 3A MAX
Currant Setting - Set with Resistor
Voltage Input - 5.6v - 16v Depending on the load it can go to 3.7v in


Some of you will have noticed that parts have changed and thats for the better.:) I went out Searching for lower profile parts. The Inductor side really does not mater though its nice to make it as thin as possible but on the back side where the main IC is every part on that side is LOWER then the IC.:D What this means is when you want to heatsink the driver you dont have to worry about any clearance issues with it shorting. Though this driver does not need heatsink much i recommend it over 1.6A for continuous run time or 1.7A if using a long duty cycle ~2 minutes.:) But again the driver barely gets hot. There is also a built in thermal protection that i have not seen before. I will be uploading a video shortly to show this. Basically you cannot kill this driver due to over heating.

I've used these drivers in a couple of builds now, and I absolutely love them!!!!!

They have become my favorite driver and what I will use in any build that will fit 2 cells.

Stable, cool, and easy to work with. What more could you ask for from a driver?

I have tried other drivers, and been dissapointed in every one of them. Flexdrivers are a decent single cell boost driver, but those little batards f.....g hate me and if I didn't HAVE to use them I'd drive stakes through their evil little resistors!

The X-Drivers are phenoemenal and for any of you that havent tried one in a build yet, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot.

Oh wait, if everyone were to start buying them supply and demand issues could pose a problem and I might be left out in the cold.

Yeah on second thought, you might not want to waste your time with these. What the hell was I thinking ::banghead:

lazeerer, once again I'm blown away by your talent! :beer:

I will add to the chorus here -

These are phenomenal drivers. They were used in the first direct-green diode handheld build (hehe :)) and I've used them in a few builds since.

I know that these are still a bit of a labour of love for Lazeerer, but I truly think these would be great candidates for a DrLava-style mass-production run of like 1,000 pcs. These are the most flexible bucks I've come across. My only complaint is that there aren't more of them out there in the world!

I've bought several of these x drives before and they're pretty awesome... I made a 2 watt pen already with one :D
Why buy a linear driver when such a buck driver exists?

I have your 1.8 Amp version in a custom build shown here...

The driver runs stable and amazingly cool for 1.8 Amps. And is only drawing 1.3 Amps from my cells at this output current...

It's an awesome driver! :gj:

Sure is stable enough to run a 12x.:) Its rock solid to be honest. There is Many out there that used this for there 12x and its basically the only driver i use in many of my builds or i will use my boost drive when 1 cell is needed or some of rhd Custom drivers which are also Great.;)

Yes you can run a 500mW Mitsu on 1 cell. Though I will have to check how low the voltage can go. IIRC it was 3.7v.... I will have to check. With 2 cells it works great aswell.

I know it can run a 300mW Mitsu at 1A with 1 cell just fine.

Though to be honest there is No point when you can go with a AMC-7135 type driver.:) I think rhd Sells Some.:beer:

Hmm. Is this running off of a low-frequency IC? Because you're using a rather high inductance inductor... o.o I am just wondering how you got up to 2.1A saturation current with 33uH.
 
That's what I meant.

Still, a 22uH inductor? I had a hard time locating a 3.3uH inductor for my buck driver that could handle 3.6A (20% safety) in a form factor nearly as small as yours. Are you using Taiyo-Yuden inductors? Or Cooper-Bussman?
