FS: WL SpyderII BX

A friend of mine bought this laser a few months back, but has since then lost interest in lasers and just wants to get some money back. He dropped it off at my house the other week and I've been doing some tests and whatnot, as with most of WL's crap this thing doesn't usually reach the rated output power of 15-30mW and hovers in the 10mW area.

You get the laser, storage case, manual, 2 18650 batteries, and a charger

The BX is specced not to run in TEM00 and it doesn't, but the TEM mode is not noticeable unless you're staring right at the dot. Otherwise it's a neat laser and the color is very nice. Beam is slightly visible at night, very visible with the beam pointing towards you. Right now he wants me to ask $700 but reasonable offers will be considered. Shipping to USA only for now. Have you tried warming up the Spyder II for several minutes then check output power? My Viasho 5 does about 10 mw for about 2 min. after 5 it does>20 mW. BTW now ~$550 will get a 10 mW with a less snazzy exterior.

i'll try some power tests at different temperatures tomorrow and see if that makes a difference - it does have TEC cooling so that has an effect on it
