the beam looks <1.5mrad in person because of the expand lens.
You just can't get wrong with this if you want a nice beam with the mitsu 500mw diode.

What is your opinion on how well wicked lasers perform?
All I read is controversy and a lot of anger about these. They do have an awesome design though.

Generally performance of the units and host design is pretty solid. It's the lacklustre to the downright atrocious 'customer service' that is the issue.
