I have a practicaly new ATN Night Shadow night vision device.

IIRC I bought it < 2 years ago and have used it all of one time (probably less than 5 minutes run time), it was one of those "I got to have it" purchases.
I'm asking $250 (S&H included) or will trade for a real nice 532nm portable.

Link......ATN - Night Shadow - Night Vision Binoculars - 1st Gen

Thanks as always,
Ray

PS I will take a few images this weekend for those that would like to see them.

I'd like to see a few pics, I know ATN is basically the best of the best when it comes to night vision.

You mean as far as Gen 1 is concerned? I've heard that gen 2 and 3 are far superior to gen 1 night vision

YES gen 2,3 & 4 are superior to gen 1. :)

You have to consider that gen 2 are about $2k more than gen 1, and than go from there for gen 3 and 4.

Do you mean the "binocular" part so you can use both eyes?

I have no idea if one is available for a monocular, my kit came this way.

Ah oh well. I got a night owl at walmart a few years ago. Its a monocular. The stock lenses on it suck like hell

No I meant ATN is the best company for any type of night vision. This is a Gen 1 and yes: Gen 2,3, and 4 are better. But ATN still makes the best night vision gear.

Now I could be wrong but wouldn't night vision pick up a infared laser?

Yes but it depends on the generation. :)

I have several IR lights (880-940nm) and my device happens to like my 880nm the best. IIRC, the higher the generation the higher the wavelength it's able to detect.

Does this work without added IR illumination...
It seems by the pics that there are IR LEDs to
illuminate what you are looking at... I may be
wrong...:undecided:

Right you are Jerry!

It has an IR illuminator and it kinda sucks when you don't use it.
