FS/T: Red Diodes In Aixiz

God knows how I managed to end up with these... Maybe something to do with the dead DVD burner drives I keep being given.

I have a few red diodes mounted in Aixiz modules, with acrylic lens. Now I have absolutly no idea what diodes they are but off the top of my head two of them are open can and one is closed can. I do also have a closed can red diode from what I thought was a CD burner, it is very dim and isn't in Aixiz as I am unsure if its just a weak diode from the CD burner or if its dieing.

I am willing to sell or make a trade with someone.

Selling price will be determined when I get home from work so I can confirm the amount I have and the diode type, but shipping is UK prefered. As for the trade I would like to swap some of them for a higher powered red diode... Since I don't know which diodes they are that could be quite awkward.

I will get pictures as soon as I am home from work.

Do you recall if the open can ones were the long ones?

Careful! CD burners use infrared laser diodes. Those can look very dim red to the naked eye, but can still be powerful enough to fry your eyesight!

If you try looking at it with a digital cam, you might be surprised just how "bright" that weak diode actually is! ;)
