Do all variations of the dx modules fit? because i have some lying around that i got not long ago(the <5mW ones).
Also, is it easy to fit the modules in the heatsink?

Thanks, ArRaY

Your DX-module should fit just fine, nearly-all aixiz will fit fine also.
The module is very easy to fit-in. Once you have your diode pressed into your module, just slide your module into the end of your heat-sink, and tighten the tiny set-screw with the wrench provided, solder driver to the pins, solder the positive-wire from the switch to your driver, and you are pretty-much done, 3-solder connections, pretty easy, at least for an 803t diode with a Flex-Drive. You will have saved over $1,900 versus buying an actual Sonar from WL, plus yours may be several-times more powerfull, with a way-cooler heat-sink, (I have never actually seen a Sonar HS from WL, so who knows)

The Sonar heatsink is in the pictures on the wickedlasers website, in the photos with the sonar barrel ;D

To be honest, it looks cooler then yours. ;) But yours is very close^^.

I don't think those are the heatsinks :)

The proportions are all wrong. Based on where the switch is on those 'heatsinks' the 2xCr123a batteries won't fit. And plus according to the pics they are a bit wider than the barrel, so there is no way they would fit :)

What other batterys better suited for a step-up drivers will fit in there?

ArRaY
Basically, We narrowed down the battery choices to 2 CR123 (Lithium Ion, Lithium Primary, rechargeable or not, your preference) or a single 17670 cell, which is about the size of the 2 CR123s. The 2 CR123 can be used to power a red or a low power Violet (More current = more volts) if using the Micro Driver. It can also use the Lavadrive with Lithium primary CR123s, but a .50v dropout diode is required because the Lavadrive can only take up to 5.5 volts. If you are going to use the 17670 cell (Which probably would be more efficient because there is no dropout diode) then you can just plug in the Lavadrive.
Oh and Dark_Horse said that the 18650 will not fit inside of the barrels, so it looks like that the 17670 is the way to go instead.[/quote]
I wish a 18650 would fit in there, but no chance at all, I am not looking forward to yet another battery-type, but I am going to try the 17670 with a Flex-drive, myself. And yes, the tube will also accept CR123's-protected or not.

Why don't the 18650 batteries fit? Are they too long? Or are they too fat?

Righto.

I have payment from Daguin, Jimmymcjimthejim and ArRaY. Arrangements have been made with Kenom and GooeyGus.

Waiting for responses from brtaman, el-taco and rkcstr. Guys, don't just get the message then ignore it. Either reply saying your going to pay or that you've decided not to take this deal. Otherwise I will remove your interest from this deal and put your Sonars/heatsinks back up for sale :)

I think at least one of them was worried about funds before, so if anyone would like to put in interest now you can get a set if one of them don't want one :)

Okay, but in future make sure to reply to the message with that, it's just good manners and makes my life easier.

So, 1 set is available! Send me a message if you want it, and it can be shipped out tomorrow :)
