Great price!! IIRC isn't this the sliver full body heat sink? (not the silver)

Re: FS: Dark Horse Silver Body Heatsink!

just remember there is 2 different versions with 2 different prices on dx. the measurements for each are slightly different so the hs may not work with one of the hosts. see if you can ask DH which version this sink is for. if its for the version i have i may take it. i dont get on here much anymore so it'd be best to pm me when you find out.

Re: FS: Dark Horse Silver Body Heatsink!

I just sent them an email and will let you know as soon as I find out.

Thanks,
Matt

EDIT: Im also fairly postitive it goes to that one.

EDIT once more: I just looked at a few old threads and they used the same heatsink for the first flashlight link. So it would go into the P4 version.

:sold: :sold: :sold:

:takeit:

I really like that basic type of host, either the P4 or the Q5.
But, I would also like to know the specific host it goes to, though
I am fine getting the heatsink first before the host is known for sure.

So, if ndrew2505 doesn't take it, I definately will!!!

(Also you said to PM you, so a PM with basically this copy and pasted is sent)

I just traded mine for a burnt out Arctic. Its a great host/heatsink combo. Not sure it could handle a 1W diode though.

Re: FS: Dark Horse Silver Body Heatsink!

I want a laser that I can mess around with inside and not be worried about the harm it might do by just looking at the dot. I think I would be looking to put a lower powered 445, maybe around 300-450mW...?

Or, I do love 405nm, I might be putting a 12x in it, but set it low for longevity...around 350mW?

I think building the laser is what I love most about his hobby. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the beam and watch as matches go up in flame. But there is no better feeling for me than soldering every component together and once I add a bettery to see it light up...the simple pleasures in life...

EDIT: I was wondering if you do not really want the heatsink ndrew2505, that maybe I could have it instead??? And if that is the case, you stated before to mattmagic100 that you may have the correct host sitting around and if so, I would like to purchase that host from you if a good price could be offered.
