Silver polished 18650 CREE R2 SH032 445nm
W/ Charger/3Ah battery.
Made By RDTech.
Less than ten minute run time
I originally bought it for $200 about a month ago.
the price now - $160 -
I was originally told by RDTech it was 1.6-1.7W,
but I think it's more like 1.3W.
It's brighter than my 1.1W laser,
and burns through a black CD case in about 3 seconds.
Dropping the price again to:

-----$160-----

PM me if interested

Re: FS: $180 1.7 Watt CREE R2 445nm W/ Charger/3Ah battery

You should really post more details about the laser, as well as more pictures.

For example size, type of heatsink, driver setting?

Re: FS: $160 1+ Watt CREE SH-032 445nm W/ Charger/3Ah battery

Thanks for replying to my post InfinitusEquitas.
You might me right! I'm not very good at taking photos.
They don't do justice to this fine Laser made by RDTech!
It has no more that 10 minutes run time on it, as i prefer
534nm to 445nm and haven't used it much.
Here are a few more photos.
click on the photo to enlarge it.

and here is another of the clicky
1000030x.jpg
The Cree R2 Aurora SH032 is aluminum and so is the heat sink.
You would have to ask RDTech what the drive is set at,
But he said the beam out put was 1.6W-1.7W.
Ithink it's more like 1.3 though.
I love this laser and would not sell it, but I need the money
for a Akai Synthstation 49 for my iPad.
At $160 this laser is a great deal.
If someone is intrerested in having it
Shoot me a MP.

This is a good deal, and I doubt RDtech would have sold it without LPMing it. Good luck with the sale.

Btw, why not use bigger pictures:D

Btw, what kind of lens is in there? If the laser is putting out 1.7W with an aixiz lens.... I'll take it.

I'm actually a tad skeptical here.

"RDTech" never responded to a question in the original thread asking about the driver in this build, and he didn't clarify whether he had LPM'd it.

I'm just having a bit of trouble believing that a single 18650, firing into a boost driver that hasn't been disclosed, is producing an output of 1.7W through an Aixiz lens. It's possible, but I'm very skeptical in the absence of an LPM chart.

That's why I'm very curious about it, but thanks for the heads up:beer:

I mean if any laser does 1.7W with an aixiz, it should easily hit 2W+ in which case it's a rarity and a steal for $180. If it doesn't hit 2W though... to me at least it's useless:(

Lol, explain to me why a 1.7W laser (or a 1.9W laser for that matter) would be useless, but a 2W laser wouldn't be? I'm confused ;)

I usually shoot for 1.4 to 1.5W as a max target.

Heh:p Well you did see the part where I said "to me at least"?

I have a few 445nm lasers, and don't really want another one unless it's an extraordinary host or 2W+. I know it's a tad illogical, but than this is a hobby:tinfoil:

Re: FS: $160 1.+ Watt CREE sH-032 445nm W/ Charger/3Ah battery

I do not have a power meter to check it's beam out put, but
the beam is much brighter, and looks more solid than my 1.1W lasers.
RDTech wanted $200 for it, and stated in the post I bought it from
that it was 1.6-1.7. I think it's more like 1.3W though.
So to be on the safe side I will edit my post to read 1+W,
and drop the price to match to - $160 - just to be on the safe side.
Now that's got to be a good deal! $40 off the original price I bought
it for just a month or so ago.
Thanks for the heads up, and for resizing my photo.

That's why I was confused. Since all of my lasers are useless to me from a purely utilitarian perspective, I was curious to know if you had some special practical use for 2W+ lasers!

Re: FS: Price dropped to $160 for a 1.6W CREE R2 445nm

Hey,

Just a heads up. I believe this is a "Silver CREE SH-032", not a "Silver CREE R2"

The R2 would have referred to the LED in the original flashlight. The name of the host is actually SH-032.

Cheers

Thanks rhd! You know your stuff!
I'll go back and edit the post to get it right.
But it does say Cree R2 on one side,
and Aruroa SH-032 on the other.

Nice laser. Because of the small host and battery and lots of power, how fast does it wear down the batteries?

Re: FS: Price dropped to $160 for a 1.+W CREE SH-032 445nm

Hi Gas Can
I have only used it for 10 minutes or so, and the battery is still strong.
I never run it for more than 30 seconds or so at a time. RDTech recommended
a 1 minute on 30 seconds off duty time. It uses a 18650 battery.
It will burn right through a black CD case in about 3 seconds.

PM me if interested.

Re: FS: Price dropped to $160 for a 1.6W CREE SH-032 445nm

I never use Flexdrives, I don't like them - so I also don't know a whole lot about them. Can a single-Flex build powered by an 18650 hit 1.7A of output? I was under the impression that it could not.

Is anyone else somewhat curious as to what driver is being used here? It seems to me that an un-LPM'd laser really needs at least some info on the driver specs. We don't even know that it is a flexdrive.

For the record, I think this laser is worth the $160 you're asking, even if it's just 1W. So I'm all for your thread, and I think your asking price is great - regardless of my little curiosity as to driver. It's really just that - a curiosity.

RDTech still comes online - so I wonder why he won't respond to questions about the driver inside these builds?
