Hey there LPF. Unfortunately i need to get rid of my 445 build from danefex to make some room for a new laptop for school. Im not going to do a super write up like most here so ill just give some specs and if your interested, go ahead and PM me with Reasonable Offers.

If you want more info on it, please dont hesitate to ask :)
Also let me know about this sale thread. This will be my first one.

*There will be no battery or charger with this unit*
The charger's "recoil" spring broke and I will not risk a short of 120v on either my or your behalf.

Well i guess i can provide the battery if the price is right.

Specs: Was metered at 555mW. Selling as a 500mW model. Overspec is always better :)
Its got a M140 in it.
Run by a flex-drive at ~450mA
It has about 40 min of run-time on it

This thing is a piece of art by the wonderful Danefex. So you know quality is spot on here.
Heres some pictures compared to a 110mW 532nm:

I would like to keep this sale strictly in the US.
Sorry Mates around the world.

As always, Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!

Hey guys,

I'm new here and have been PMing with KartRacer00 to work out this deal. From the looks of it, he is a respectible contributing member and is trustworthy, however it's never a bad idea to check again with the community. Absolutely no disrespect or distrust intended to you, Kartracer00.

Has anyone here completed transactions with KartRacer00 and can vouch for him?

He suggested that I pay as a gift with Paypal since I'm new here and have not yet built up a reputation, however this has been stated many times on this forum that it is not a good idea to do this because of paypal's policy on desputes.

Thoughts?

Thanks all!

Hello, Boldar. Welcome to the forum.

I, too, am new to this forum. You are correct, paying as a gift is normally a red flag. However, paying as a gift ALSO protects the seller from the buyer later filing a dispute with PayPal, and getting a refund AFTER the buyer has received the item. As far as I can tell, a positive reputation does not take that long to build. Your transaction with KartRacer may even improve your reputation.

Being new, I have little experience with Kart Racer. But, if they were the kind to rip people off, they would NOT have a Rep Power of 18. The people on this forum take this reputation thing pretty seriously. That is a good thing, because you can feel safe that with Kart Racer's positive reputation, they will not take your money and head for the border.

Before long, you, too, may have a positive reputation and may purchase items from other members without the need to "Send As Gift." :)

Thanks for the welcome, pschlosser!

So far everyone seems so cool and helpful here and it seems to be a pretty self-regulating group. I was along the same lines of thinking with what you said, but it never hurts to check with the community just to make sure... especially since the "Send as a gift" thing was really stressed in the "How to not get scammed" thread.

I've been doing a lot of research lately and at the moment just looking at getting a good deal on my first non-toy laser. There's a lot of seller's storefronts out there that range in reputation and quality so it's good to have access to other's experiences.

I've been doing more reading and thinking that one of Blord's C6 units may be more bang for the buck, considering that I can get roughly double the power for the same price. :undecided: Though I don't want to reneg on the deal before he even sends me his paypal info.

I tried to order one of BLord's C6s, today. He is now out of stock. But, he is selling other units, the 501B that looks even cooler, IMO, because they are anodized blue/purple. A blue laser in a blue laser host. How cool is that?

With that said, I think Kart Racer's laser is more elegant looking, though. From what I learned about this unit, it's the same M140 driver as many other 2000mw 445nm lasers, except that it is dialed down to 500mw for longer running times and longer life.

If you buy this unit, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Bear in mind, when lasers get really powerful, it's messy just turning them on, because anything you point them at gets burned. You may find this 500mw better suits your need for fun.

Maybe, down the road, you could work with the M140 emitter and make it do bigger things. :)

And, please, order some safety glasses, now. I just ordered a pair of:

Uvex S0360X Ultra-spec 2000 Safety Eyewear

from Amazon for under $10. I hope they're adequate.

Damn, thanks Pschlosser! +1 You typed exactly what i was going to say! Yeah, there would be no problem opening up the laser and cranking up the mA. Make sure you test the mA with a digital multi-meter because those POTs are sensitive and can burn out the laser diode if there is too much power going to the laser diode! And Bolder, I can assure you in no way am i trying to run with your money. Im not like that, ive had it happen to me and it hurts, really bad :(
Im sorry if i made you nervous /:
Youll really enjoy this unit i think, it feels like a freakin lightsabre! Hate to let it go:(

Hey folks, I have worked with Kart before and can vouch for his honesty on this forum. Any interested buyers can also consider me as a resource for help or support with this unit if necessary. I am familiar with the insides and out of this laser he's selling & would be happy to address any questions or whatever :D

Payment sent! Thanks for everyone's input. I really appreciate it!

I'd also like to add that Kart did require me to send my driver's license scan to verify my age. So, please +rep him for doing this transaction by the book and doing his part in keeping these devices out of the hands of minors.

Getting excited about this unit. I already have the batteries and safety glasses on the way!

Good for you on ordering some goggles. We look forward to some pictures of burnage and beamshots, too.

This is one sexy unit.

I'm glad to hear this! I strongly believe something like this helps filter the increased potential from an accident or arrest that could happen because someone not mature enough or who was irresponsible misused a laser.

+ when it lets me again Kart :D
