Re: FS: ***Selectable test load up to 3A (assembled or DIY kit)***

OK so pictures should speak for themselves.. I shorted out the driver leads from the flexdrive to discharge it.

I have a 20mW 405nm and this one is nowhere near as bright... so I may have killed it last night... Also the dot I'm getting with a G-1 lens is a little, odd...I think!

Edit: I can't burn anything with this thing, and I can look at the dot comfortably without any eye strain (yes I know I shouldn't, however, I can hardly SEE the dot with goggles, at about a foot away...) And as you can see, heat sinking is not an issue :)

Thanks for the help guys!

So who is sending me another diode with leads :)?

DTR will! :yh:

Sorry about the loss of the diode, just remember to discharge the output leads of any driver that has capacitors before hooking it up to the laser diode. I'd be really bummed out if I lost one. :cryyy:

Hey everyone,

My latest batch of boards arrived today, got delayed in the mail.

Anyway, I put up a site together where you guys can also purchase the test loads and hopefully more stuff in the future. It's pretty much going to be my site with links of the builds I've done with a small shop on the side.

Here it is:https://sites.google.com/site/thejuf88/shop/dummy-test-load

Let me know if you guys have any problems viewing it or any questions.

That is including the test driver I think.
I bought my testload two month ago for $23.57 or you could buy my already assembled testload. I don't mind solder it again :)

Hey offroadfreak,

My site has a standard on USPS Express International shiping because I don't want to risk a package going bad. However, on LPF I'm more lenient :yh:

Just shoot me a PM and we can work out shipping price for either First Class International or Priority Mail International.

Ah yes, he did. I'm glad to see fellow LPFers helping each other out!

I'm gonna postpone ordering for now since I've sold out the last 2 panels for the test loads that are coming in are already sold as well (Dec 5, Dec 12 panels got delayed). So I'm gonna catch up on some orders and let everyone know when I have more available.

I should have more available near the end of January.

**EDIT: I counted and I actually have one available left!

Got mine today :) Looks way better in person then in pics gotta give it a test go. Extremely fast shipping and good packaging +rep :thanks:

Update: Works as intended :) But my DMM sucks need a new one after testing many sources it reports way under voltage. I tested my battery's 18650 fully charged says 3.38v tested a Enegizer NiMh AA 1.10 then tested mains out 95.8v so any reading I would get from your Test load would be off by how much I'm not sure not to good at math.

Love your solder work, When I solder I put usually a little to much then intended. One little problem I have is the leads on the diodes are a little long, When I was soldering some wire it would teeter. No biggie just need to pull out the dikes and make them flush.

Is this like a universal test load that works for all drivers, whether it's for a red laser, violet, blue etc.?
