Oh, okay. Wish I knew that before I bought my batteries. It might be best to add that fact to the laser description.

Alright! How do I do that safely? I like my face and I appreciate how few burn scars there are on it.

LOL, it's just soldered on the sealed battery, so the answer has to be carefully and at your own risk.

If you can get by with the cap half screwed on that might be better.

Hah, ah, alright. I'll probably just buy a bigger O-ring or something like that to keep it in place. Maybe I'll see if I can safely shorten the tension spring (which isn't integral to the circuit, that hooks together via a wire soldered to the button and the negative contact cap, which only rests on the spring).

Hey Podo, so safety mode is two half taps and full power is five, how do I access strobe, SOS, and half power?

Hi Sta, i have found that the g7's work great with red diodes, you can use them with focus adapters and they increase the power significantly. I haven't tried them with 445nm as all my 445 modules are copper and the g7's stop after about 2 turns. Just don't want to take the chance of stripping them

He's saying he hasn't tried the focus lens on a blue laser and it doesn't go in all the way, and he doesn't want to take the chance of breaking it with force.

Try finding the modes with your paperclip so you have control, your switch may be intermittent.

Just tried, but my laser's not turning on anymore, with or without the paperclip.

Not sure why, my batteries are fine and I haven't done anything stupid with it. I was using it half an hour ago, removed the batteries, put it on my bed, and now it isn't.

You're jinxed Elly.

But seriously, you are having a run of bad luck, don't worry, it can't go on forever.

Both contacts are making contact with the battery, I used a pair of paperclips and made sure of it..

Last time I was using it, I tried to see how tight the tailcap could go before it clicked in. I found the level and had to rescrew the tailcap on and off a few times before it made contact properly (though I could, of course, use the paperclip method to make it work). I removed the focusing optics and the diode itself looks fine. No charring, and the diode window is fine. Course, all that means very little, the diode can be damage without looking like it's damaged.

I hope I can get this dealt with.. I mean, I have a laser, and it was cool while it worked, but now it isn't.

Course, all that means very little, the diode can be damage without looking like it's damaged.

I hope I can get this dealt with.. I mean, I have a laser, and it was cool while it worked, but now it isn't.
I think it's better to just buy and wait for a flat top battery first and save the fun later rather than using papercuts. You said you tightened the tailcap all the way and adjusted its level for a few times. It sounds the tailcap is not in its right position to me.

Just made a video for the Electronic lock showcase if anyone find it helps:
