FS: Aries 150

Up for sale is a factory refurbished Aries 150. It was originally purchased from the laserglow GB sometime back in November but I had to send it back due to power and modehopping problems. The laser has finally come back from CNI and has been fully metered and tested by LG. Throughout the repair period, my needs have changed and I no longer require a portable unit. I have not seen, touched, used the laser since it was sent back for repair.

For the very brief time I had it, it was in flawless condition(No dents, scratches, wear). Knowing how the folks at LG are extremely careful, I cannot imagine it being in different condition. The laser is currently sitting at laserglow until the repair fees have been paid($50USD). I paid $370 USD for it back in Nov 08.

I am asking $340USD+shipping. The laser will be shipped directly from Laserglow so it should get past customs.

EDIT: I will now entertain trades for a good condition, working 250-300mW green laser.
EDIT2: I have now taken possession of the laser. Price has been dropped down to $340...

Please PM me if you're interested

Price is a lil steep. The Optotronics 150mw+ is only $197.

First off, that 150mw pointer is a pointer. It has a short duty cycle and is probably not FDA approved. This portable is designed to be run continuously and has all the safety features required by the FDA.

Both will put out 150mW but they are designed for different uses.

yeah but the money $$ required to buy either is universal in its uses and 400 dollars is wayy too much for a 150mw green (period)

i would give the price of an o-like module plus a little, little bit more because its in a host..

If you can't afford it, ignore the sale.

Laserglow sells the Aries 100 for $400.
This is a good deal.
An Optotronics 150mW pointer cannot be compared to this unit.

As the seller has already stated, this laser is for a different use.

You and wesdaman must come from the generation of laser enthusiasts that believe junk from DX is fancy stuff. This is manufactured to a different standard.
These units are not meant to be sold to children.

I merely state this as a fact... not as an insult to you.

Good luck with the sale Digital_Blue.

none taken , maybe the sale is above those that live in this economy on earth.

But if you can afford it why not buy it and not let us children wonder why it is so much more expensive than a quality laser from optotronics.

speaking of standards , thats like saying that a mil spec hammer should cost a couple hundred dollars because its built to a different standard.

thanks for your input.. .. .. . .

Good luck on the sale Digital_Blue..

BUMP + EDIT

Will now entertain trades for a working 250-300mW green labby.

A $100 well made, steel hammer will pay for itself compared to a cheesy potmetal hammer that costs $1 and will break after one use...

I think you can bump this thing all month, but I doubt you're gonna sell OR trade it for what you're asking. Good Luck, you're gonna need it at that price/trade.

I'm asking for $340, list price is $690. I'm asking for less than half... If you can find a >150mw handheld for this price(new or used), please let me know...
