This thing is superb, the only reason why I sell it, is because I need funds :)

It's a portable 445nm laser with optics that will create a focused spot at about 3 inches. It's able to burn plastics, cloth, paper, cardboard, skin (no metal or white plastics etc.). It can be used as defocused pointer as well!
The diode is not visible and the tool have an internal solid heatsink, the laser can be used for 3-4 min. continuously.
Power-source: 1x 18650 Li Ion Cell.
Output: 750-800 mW.

um what?
i dont really get what the host is?
(maybe its in some sort of TV show gadget)
and why the high price of an under 1W 445?
sorry if im a noob, but this doesnt really make much sense to me

Re: FS: DIY <1W 445nm laser tool with optics by AnselmoFanZero

It's a cool looking host to be sure... and you probably paid a lot for it... but the asking price doesn't really make sense to me either.

I don't discount the fact that maybe I missed something in the video...

Seems like it's just a regular 445nm, but focused for cutting at 3" from aperture.

Is there maybe some kind of active cooling, or something to keep smoke off of the lens?

You might be better off just keeping it... I'm more or less in the same boat with the o-like I have for sale... don't think I'll get what I paid for it either:undecided:

Sorry guys this is a real DIY 445 laser... If I "totally build" a car and put a Ford engine in it, you can not imagine that the cost is the same as a Ford...there is a lot of craftsmanship in the process.
Another relevant point is that it doesn't seem a pointer or a flashlight, and this is a great advantage in places where powerful lasers are prohibited, for example, I was very secure at customs. :)

Is there maybe some kind of active cooling, or something to keep smoke off of the lens?
No active cooling but the internal position of the lens and the "front teeth" do not allow the lens to get dirty.

the price is negotiable, but I can't reduce so much because, it is true, I payed a lot

These are one of a Kind and are Rare. Completely DIY to the extent of even shaping each piece on the laser.

its well worth that.:)

You might not be thinking who made this, this is why you are confused.:D

Only once I reached that peak with a freshly charged samsung battery, then it has never exceeded 830 mW peak. I honestly can not sell it as 1W

Re: FS: (Price drop) DIY <1W 445nm laser tool with optics by AnselmoFanZero

the price is extremely reduced (much less than I paid) :cryyy:
