How much usage has this laser seen? (in minutes, hours, approximately). And how noticeable is the offset of the beam from the laser?

Honestly, about 15 mins. I didn't even realize the beam was off center till I actually looked. Its not too bad

Just to let you know AA, all greens Ive ever had have never had a perfectly centered beam, it's pretty hard to do from what I hear

^^^Yup, aside from a pen, not one greenie I ever had was perfectly aligned.

I did get a laser once there the beam was at such an angle that it was actually hitting the exit aperture.

@bhwollen - I'm also waiting on my payday;) even though I have one of these coming, I really liked the host (despite the other issues) of this laser.

Unfortunately, all green lasers are never aligned perfectly. I was simply wondering how off-set that beam was. I've had up to 10 degrees of misalignment in my lasers, one can only guess. Thanks for the swift reply!

That's not really true. DPSS can be aligned as well as anything else. It's just that putting the effort into doing it increases the cost. And since the vast majority of laser buyers on this forum work under 'cheaper is better', the makers of cheap DPSS lasers put as little cost into their manufacture as they can and still get a working end product.

could you also make a couple photo's of the beam of the laser, when its not in line with the camera, without smoke but in darkness?

I agree, I didn't beam for my comment to come off as it can't be done. Just with the vast majority of greens on this site that people own/purchase, won't be perfectly aligned. When I get me a jetlaser, I expect to see an aligned beam

well pointers are pointers. i dont really care about alignment...its in your hand and you can swing all the way with your hand ^^

at modules yes i can understand why people want the lasers to be perfectly aligned.

Yep, I had a rayfoss 100mW rated that peaked 175mW with only 10-15mW of IR. Beam was a few degrees off on alignment. BUT still, even at 150mW green is SO solid. 532 and 445 are so close in my book as favorite wavelengths. If this doesn't sell, I would buy it in a week LOL
