For sale is a MXDL host fitted with a custom aluminum heatsink, aixiz acrylic lens module and a micro flexdrive. The flexdrive is set at 420ma which should produce about 280mW's with an open can red diode. The leads are ready to solder onto your diode. To make this a complete laser you need 1 open can diode and the ability to press it into the aixiz module, solder the leads and your done. You will also need 2 x 3 volt cr123 batteries. The flexdrive is adjustable to other currents if you wanted to make a blu-ray laser or needed to adjust the settings. The item is brand new...never used. If you have any questions please ask. I am asking $40.00 plus USPS shipping charge in the US. Paypal preferred...

You do NOT want to feed TWO 3V CR123's to a flexdrive unless you have a voltage limiting diode inline. The flexdrive takes 2V-5.5V. 6V will kill the driver.

Dave you are correct. It has a diode inline to limit the voltage.
