This may be the BEST deal on a "matched set" of lasers that I have seen.

Somebody needs to snatch these up now!

 Hmmmmmm -- I wonder if there is enough room in a host like this for a green module . . . . . . . . (My 4-color matched set is one of my favorite things ;) )

Peace,
dave

yea +1 for me on that as well.. Its just the forking up the 400 suddenly seems like just tad too much... but when we think about it those $20 - $30 dx stuff that we keep buying non stop probably made us spend a lot more than we think... damn those Chinese who are so good at making money...

p.s. no racist remarks intended.

Gosh - you guys are starting to make me think I should put those three back into my collection, and grab another hotlight to transplant a green into.... no.... must not accumulate more lasers.... :)

All joking aside, xuen7: PM sent.

Which one has better battery life? and how long? option 2 or option 3. Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm new with this kind of thing, with the number of milliwats produced, if option 2 can do such thing as cutting through electrical tapes easily, option 3 would be... i can't imagine. battery life however, please let me know. i'm buying one of those definitely.

Both lasers are dangerous. If you're new to this kind of thing, I'd want to chat with you about safety before selling you either laser.

You'll need to own laser safety goggles - and that's not paranoia, that's a necessity. At the very least, you'll have to spend $15 or so on a pair. I can direct you to some of the entry level safety glasses - but you'll definitely have to order a pair before I would be comfortable going forward with the sale.

More to your question - number 2 will have a better battery life. The 14500 and 16340s have roughly the same capacity, but the #2 runs on just a tad under half the current draw of the #3. They run on rechargeable batteries though, so runtime is never a big consideration for me.

They'll both burn incredibly well - which is why you need to exercise so much caution in their use.

Thanks for the cautions :)

You mentioned that both burns incredibly well.
But the bigger the mw produced, more burn power kind of saying? is this logic correct?

Also, just remember. Does all this includes the battery charger? if not, how much is it?

Hey ls4286: It's really awesome that you're interested in these lasers :)

Having said that, I want to encourage you to spend some more time on these forums reading up on high powered lasers, safety precautions, etc. Don't hate me for saying it - but I'm not comfortable selling you a laser yet. I hope there is no offense taken?

Do some reading, spend some time looking into the dangers associated with high powered lasers, and make sure you understand the safety precautions that need to be taken. New lasers come up for sale on these forums all the time, so I know you'll have an opportunity to purchase one in the future - there's no pressure to purchase one right away. Trust me that you're better off reading up on your own, before jumping into this hobby by purchase :)

I don't agree rhd, sometimes in life you just got to take the first leap of faith... That way you will learn things much faster and remember them longer... Dont worry about it just remember to close your eyes before you leap...

SLPbum: I am withdrawing from the bidding because rhd told me that Canada doesnt like Chinese therefore shipping to Singapore is going to cost $88 bucks... If only i moved to Toronto with the buckload of chinese already there?

Re: FS: Moving Sale - 405nm (600mW+), 445nm (1,200mW+), 650nm - Various Lasers & Stuf

Hi RHD,

Again, I thank you very much for your kind concern. I've been researching a lot about lasers, and its power.

Perhaps if I let you know the reason I am interested with these high powered laser you made, you can rest your concerns about my safety precaution.

I intend to use the laser to help me ease my daily routine. I do lots of soldering in the middle of cabling (jumper). These lasers can surely helps me a lot to melt the cable somewhere in the middle, enough for me to spare a bit of the (about to be jumped) wire inside.

Secondly, I also do lots of outdoor hiking, and these lasers can also function as;
1. Lighter for lighting up bon fire
2. SOS signal due to it's high visibility.

This is why I relate the output power with the battery life.

However, I do completely understand if you do not wish to sell your lasers to me. It is your right not to sell. All these times, I've always been a regular visitor to this forum, but never post anything until recently you post this and I happens to be interested.

Thanks.

I said nothing of the kind. I'm not even sure I understand the comment about Chinese that you're attributing to me incorrectly...You asked me to quote you the shipping cost to Singapore. I don't know what China has to do with this. I quoted you the shipping prices that I got from CanadaPost.ca, and even linked you to the rates page so that you could calculate it on your own.

I agree, the shipping prices to Singapore were outrageous, but they were directly from the CanadaPost site - I didn't add to them for packaging materials or anything at all. I quoted you exactly what was on the site - and never made any comment about Canada "not liking Chinese".

Please don't quote me on comments I didn't make - even if you think it's funny to do so. I don't want that negative karma :)
