Here's my Mini Mag Green Kit! :cool:

This first post is a tutorial for the easy assembly. Here are the links to the O-like modules that this kit is designed for:

50mW: Green laser module 50mW For custom build or lab [OLGLM50] - $26.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products
100mW: 100mW industrial green laser module [OLGLM100] - $58.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products
150mW: Green laser module 150mW For custom build or lab [OLGLM150] - $96.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

This kit includes:

* Mini Mag Host
* Push button tail cap (Terra Lux)
* Sleeve (for module)
* Custom front piece
* The 'host' will be drilled at the front to fit your module, and have a set screw as well! (see pictures)

All you will need is a module (very easy to solder a small wire to bypass the switch - see picture below), a battery, and a 1.5mm Allen wrench for the set screw.

* The Kit will be $65 dollars plus shipping...
* Shipping and handling - $6
* Please read my shipping policy here!

Here's the picture tutorial:

Mini Mag's have such a nice finish! I think it's about time to have some nice modifications for these! :D

You want to modify your existing Mini Mag? If you would like to send me your Mini Mag center section to drill out the front and put a set screw in it for this green mod, I can do that for you, plus make the custom front piece and module sleeve that you will need for this green modification.

For this option, I would charge $40 dollars plus $6 dollars return shipping...

Tail Switch:

I have tried both the Terra Lux tail cap, as well as the Nite Ize brand, and I like the Terra Lux much better...

The Terra Lux switch requires more pressure to 'click' it on or off. Nice smooth finish too!

Put it about 4mm out the front and it will be perfect...

Wait a secound....

that battery is 4.2V that means your giving the modules 1.2V too much right?

Yeah... but most people run them on a rechargeable battery. It seems fine, as long as you use a 1 minute duty cycle.

Especially with the 100mW modules do you want a little more supply. But I've seen some who even use the 3.6 volt RCR123 batteries for the 5 to 10mW O-like modules!

So this battery supply should be fine for the 50/100/150mW modules...

no, 4.2 fully charged, with no load. it will actually be around 3.9 volts max that your giving the module, and it has a driver which should be able to take that little extra voltage.
btw, great job jayrob

:thanks: Sword...

Bakawun, your Mini Mag Green kit and other items will ship Monday!

Hope you like it! :)

Well, at least I gave you a free tutorial to see how to do the modification in a very clean and stable build...

Maybe it will give you some ideas on how you might build other designs.
