Re: FS: $26 A140 445 diodes

Wow hak, that truly means a lot. Thank you
And just to clarify- I am mot selling the aixiz lenses myself, I was just suggesting them in the OP, as modules from DTR come with acrylic lebses which will just melt.
Edit: had to change the price a bit to account for shipping or I will nearly lose money :(

Re: FS: $26 A140 445 diodes

Gotcha-- and for sure AixiZ appreaciates the 'mention' I was hoping for $10 each so I was pleasently surprised to see them at $8 each..

Chuck at AixiZ likes call in orders- and wants to hear our feedback- especailly items we want-- Since Chuck's private cell is at the home site ( the ONLY other place IMO to place an oder)- no harm here- call Chuck 9am to noonish on weekdays Central time- 713 240 4929= best to have your PC on the aixiz.com site = lots of new items--
may not help but wont hurt to mention me but for sure mention the forums--
it helps a little if we can work with AixiZ to cut down the expensive fees-
save those 'iffy' buys for PP protection- No need to worry about AixiZ

Re: FS:A140 445 diodes

BUMP

its a good deal-- on a 'robust' diode- quick burner- even under-powering it for a longer life and less worry about rest cycles as much. McCrouse has awesome lab style heat sinks -massive 4OZ of solid Al= slide that copper 12x30 into it tighten down the set screw and you are ready to add a driver and powersupply. AixiZ got theirs from them & may have some left- add a Flex P3 and you can control the output (analog)
the aixiz single glass lens will allow you to focus- as Spaz has TOLD you- the stock acryic lens is NOT suitable for high power diodes- and the Stock kasio lens is OK if you like fat beam lasers--( it IS however glass)

Re: FS:price Drop-A140 445 diodes

Which driver is best for these diodes?
Do u have drivers available and if so what would cost be on those
Will these diodes run safe & stable at 1.3-1.8 watts?
Price me 2 shipped 30721.
Hell price me 5 of them shipped also.
Thnx

You can use about any driver- if you want to go boost, then you would need 1li-ion, if you go buck you would need 2 li-ion's. I would say 1.5W would be just about the max you could run these at, 1.3W would probably be a little safer life span wise. PM sent :)

Re: FS:price Drop-A140 445 diodes

I'm surprised these haven't all sold yet. Is everyone that power crazy these days?

Would you be up for a trade? 1* 9mm diode for 2* A140 diodes?

Apparently everyone is. I threw one @ 1A into a chrome pen, and its currently my favorite laser. Small, bright, not too hot- a nice balance.

I may be interested in that trade :) i'll think about it.

Re: FS:price Drop-A140 445 diodes

Expected a sold out message when I got back on-line--

Bump for a good deal-- As far as good drivers...-- AixiZ.com has a few and solderless sockets for that size diolde pins- blank modules (also in copper)
and $8 clone of the G series lens-
(you cant use plastic lenses in these powers)

BUT about AixiZ-

They are NOT however a source of detailed help with building-

too many buyers and hard to figure out just how much help they need-
too many pitfalls--

plenty to be read here on DIY handheld building--
