All of the meters are getting assembled this weekend and shipped on monday.
Various shipping methods take from 2-16 days. I apologize to everyone for how long this is taking. I figured I would have the time to do these quickly but problems with my sons school have prevented me from getting these done quickly.

For what it is worth......

I own one of Ken's meters....Kudos to Ken for providing these!!!

I also have built up 3 DIY meters.

I can attest that the zero out function of the DIY circuit does not in any way, shape or form change the gain.

There is a completely separate pot for gain adjustment. Gain can be very accurately set using Knimrod’s formulae after checking the ACTUAL resistance of a few components!

My DIYs track almost to the mW with the "Coherent" board!

I have tested reds, greens, and Blurays..the accuracy is indeed remarkable and repeatable!

Ken's boards are very nice...and worth every penny.

The DIY is simply a smaller solution!

Really, to argue about the accuracy difference is like the old Greek pastime of discussing how many spirits can dance on the head of a pin!

They both WORK!
They both will give the same readings within a couple of mW!

Thanks for the input Larry.

It's nice to hear from someone who has had a few meters to compare. I'm pretty confident in Ken's ability to provide a good product, and figured that as long as it's consistent, I wouldn't care if it was off by a few mW.

Your review actually makes me think I'm getting even more of a deal... Kudos to you too for speaking up! :cool:

I've shipped out 5 today.  The rest are going to get finished tomorrow or sunday.  I promise those waiting for one of these will have thiers shipped by monday at the latest and if it isn't I'll refund the money.

Oh and another thing that would be realy really handy is those of you that have purchased one of these or one of my Dorcy's NEEDS to email me at kenkassidy@hotmail.com to let me know first the transaction # and then what it is you ordered. I've got over 250 transactions in the last 2 months and probably 10% of them actually indicate what the payment is for. I can't ship something to you if I don't know what it is I'm shipping. Yes, I see that you sent me money. Ok both my dorcy's and my meters are roughly the same price so that doesn't help me. If you've been waiting on something that's probably why.

Unfortunetly shipping is extra. I just got burned on a few shipments. figured since hawaii is part of the U.S. it would't cost more than a few bucks to ship there. ended up costing me $31 by ups. That and all the damn paperwork they have to have, I'll never be using ups again. Gah, where was it manufactured, what is it going to be used for, sheesh. shoulda told them masturbation. it's a great sex tool.

basic priority is going to run about $8.95 since it's too big to fit into a smaller box and even if it were it weights in at about 2 1/2 pounds.  so, I use the flat rate box for priority usps. Now that's for domestic. (inside the us) Outside I like to use the priority as well and that's $34 for the flat rate international. It doesn't have to be shipped that method international. It can go the slow boat, ems and takes about 2-3 weeks but it's only about $20
