LASER KIT

So I got this host not too long ago from Ehgemus and it is a 5.6mm pressfit design. I also had a good number of 650nm diodes(LPC-826's and GGW's and LPC-840's......2 of each). I also ordered a flexdrive set to 450mA from DTR and I have a 650nm 3-Element coated lens for it as well. Long story short, I am not sure if the flexdrive is set right, and as embarrassing as it is I just don't know how to work with drivers like this. My suspicion is that the driver just isn't set right. At any rate I have tried both GGW's and one LPC and none of them work no matter how much care I take.

I still have one LPC-826 and two LPC-840's that are living. I also have one GGW 650 diode that is still in the host wired up. Might just be a wiring problem so I didn't want to press it out.

The unpressed diodes are still in sealed antistatic packaging. The LPC-840's are not even opened from the shipping package yet. ***The 840's do have a lower capability than the LPC-826*** so keep that in mind.

Kit will come with:
  • Ehgemus Custom 5.6mm Pressfit design host
  • One LPC-826
  • Two LPC-840's
  • 3-Element Glass Lens for Red Diodes
  • 6" Red Flaminpyro Wire
  • 6" Black Flaminpyro Wire
  • Flexdrive - Needs testing, this part is not contributing to the price at all!
  • Already Pressed GGW Diode. In good physical condition but also needs testing. Also not contributing to the price of the kit.

PRICING

My asking price for all of the above is 68 dollars shipped. That is less than cost of parts. Would be a good project for somebody learning how to work with drivers, diodes, etc. Kit is sold as is as they are OEM parts. All diodes sealed in antistatic packaging.

Any questions contact me. If you need something else for the kit also PM me. I have a lot of stuff hangin out here at my place so if I have it we can work something out.

Thanks for looking, safe lasing!

Just seen your post on my thread
I would be looking for a build that would be pretty easy. Does the host come with a heat sink?
What is the problem with the diode and driver that requires testing?
Not sure how I could do the tests

Well the driver isn't included in the price, so you could buy a new one from DTR if you didn't want to bother. The host is a pressfit design so you would just press the diode into the host. If you have prior soldering skills it shouldn't be any trouble. If not I would go for some preassembled module and modular host.
