FS: Laser Cut Computer Bugs Fundraiser for LPF

and me I really need to raise some bucks...I'll work for it, and make you something cool in the mean time.  These laser cut computer bugs are pretty popular over at PhotonLexicon Forum so I thought I would try them out here and see if we get any takers!

Here is the deal. I will cut anything you want, your LPF name, your name, your dogs name, your girlfriends name.  The deal is they all have the "laser splash emblem". They are cut out of black acrylic approx .11" thick. The "computer bug" measures 6" in length and about 1.6" tall. I call them "computer bugs" because they love to live on the top of your computer monitor. Feed them large doses of radiation from visiting the Laser Pointer Forum site often. I will laser cut on wendesdays and ship on fridays weekly.

Suggestion- for short names like OZ you could say OZ ROCKS. Long names dont work well so keep it to less than 10 characters NO MORE.

FUNDRAISING FOR LPF- I need to charge $20.00 ea which will include shipping in the US. International buyers please add $10.00 for me to go stand in line at the post office and fill out paperwork.

FOR EACH COMPUTER BUG SOLD I WILL SEND $5.00 TO ADMIN. TO HELP SUPPORT THE SITE WE VISIT DAILY...NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

30$ is a little much.

they are only $20.00 ea, LPF gets $5.00, box is $2.00, shipping in the US is $2.00 so I make a wopping $11.00 for about 30 minutes work on a $25,000.00 laser system. You must be international, very poor and have zero concept of what someones time is worth. If you do not have something nice to say, you may STFU. The world does not justify value by what you think...So basically you dont want $5.00 sent to LPF...How much have you sent LPF? I'll be waiting for your answer. How much would you sell me one for? *crickets*......right....you cant do it because you are not smart enough and dont have the technology to do it so...so keep quite. For someone with a rep of 5 and 700 post I would have thought you had more class.

Angry at him...yes...He said $30.00 which means he was talking about the extra $10.00 I add for standing in line at the post office and fill out paperwork for international shipments. I have nothing against international buyers, but they do need to understand that time is money. For shipments in the us it is easy, that is why I charge more for international shipments.....time....nothing else. I hope you understand, thank you for looking. It is not up to him to determine if my price is fair or not. He didnt justify his statement he just made a statement with out any knowledge on the subject...he should have kept quite.

You can put them on a shelf close to your computer so that they get their required dose of radiation...even if it is EMF ;D

I agree, $30 is REALLY good, compared to what you'd pay for some generic thing thats very simple at the shop this REALLY good and it has international postage inculded with the $30 and $5 goes to LPF!

There also custom so you can anything you want written on it!

Hey, can you cut any shape?

I have a project I've been working on where I've made a laptop into a touchscreen tablet and I've been looking for someone to laser cut a few sheets of acrylic to make an enclosure for it.

It's 30mm tall at its tallest, so I guess I might need as many as 10 layers, it's roughly 10"x13" in length and width, so each piece would have to be slightly larger than that... How much do you think something like that would cost?

Yes I can cut anything. I have no idea what you are trying to say. Is it something you can sketch and email to me. I dont understand the 10 layers part. But if you can draw each piece in Corel Draw, AI or save your drawings as an EPS file I can look at them. If you sketch something I will have to redraw, I can do that too. I dont charge to quote only to make.

Okay, cool... The object I'm trying to make is 30mm tall, so I'm figuring I'll make it in layers then glue the layers together, since you mentioned your acrylic stock is 0.1" tall... I have the dimensions of my object laid out in google sketchup, though I imagine your CNC software uses some other format... Though, I can re-draw everything in illustrator or inkscape and save as an EPS or AI file if you'd like.

Just get me anything so I can at least start to think and see what you might be talking about.
