FS: Jibs Linear Drivers

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Awesome build! I'll update the op when I get to the office tomorrow. My internets are not belong to me at home ... Stupid Charter. Using painfully slow 1st gen iPhone on painfully slow t-mo edge.

EDIT: I have internets again, YAY! OP has been updated. Im expecting the next batch of PCBs in the next few days.

Wow Jib! I got the boards today and they are amazing!!! Thanks!

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Thank you sir.

BTW notice there was a small change, I moved the cap on the bottom to the top. I forgot to take pictures before I sent them out. Oh and the name is now "LineDrive". "PipSqueak" was a little corny.

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

I got my drivers yesterday too and man do they look nice with all that gold on there cant wait to use them. If jib doesn't mind i would like to refer to mine as jiblet's :)

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Hey jib. Is there any way I can limit these to 0.9A? If not wanna make 2 of them for me? :D

LOL ... jiblet's thats good. Glad you like them.

Remove the two 1 Ohm and replace with one 1.4 Ohm 2W resistor, doesn't have to be SMD, you can bend the leads and solder them to the pads. Ill check Fry's tomorrow and see if they have any.

Thanks! Im trying to make a 1.8A build.

Been reading and these look like some fun to try out.
I'll take three of them.
PM coming:beer:

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

hey jib, not sure about what's available but it looks like there might be some left for the mid march batch? if so i'd like to be on the list for 2.
cant beat 16 bucks for 2 1.25A drivers. Also to lower current, i would simply replace the resistors but I was wondering which of the two should be replaced, or maybe both? Would seem like a good driver for a 12x build with 2 Li-ion cells.

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

you can make your own combo ... there just 2 resistors in parallel (i think)

OK added you to the list. I would just replace both, I did two so I could split the power rating. Just did one for a PHR build and replaced them with a 10 and 2.2 ohm in series to get 12.2ohm/100mA:

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

Hey Jib, just wondering, could you make me one set to about 410-420ma for a lpc-815 LOC build? pm me with answer please case i will probably lose this post :D

Re: FS: LM1117 Based Linear Driver - 1.3A Fixed

cool thanks for having me in line jib, cant wait till that batch is ready. although i wanted to know as they are stock, are the resistors in parallel or in series? I have only 1W smd resistors in small values, so if they are in parallel it would help to keep them thermally controlled (since you use 2w resistors).
