Re: FS: Jibs Linear Drivers - 500mA, 1.3-1.6A, 1.8A

Don't know if this quesion has been asked before but will this driver work with two LI-ion 3,7v ?

Re: FS: Jibs Linear Drivers - 500mA, 1.3-1.6A, 1.8A

Sorry guys its taking me a while to respond ... pretty busy @ work this week.

Can u still order me resistors to make 1 250mA and 1 320mA driver jib? Or as close as you can get to those two values, but above 250 if it has to be, and as close to 320 as u can get +/-

Just whenever u order parts. I'll obviously pay for the parts

I have resistors to make 1x 250mA, it will be the same as the 501mA but with 1 resistor. Ill check if I have anything that will get you close to 320mA.

Looks good i did put in 8,15V but it still should have been good, i think i have a zombie diode i tried to hook it up to a lab psu and it started with about 10mw @ 200ma and it remained around that until 700ma

so i gues i had a weird diode :p

o and thnx for checking!

No problem. Sorry to hear the diode was a zombie. :(

hi Jib, got your driver today and i installed it and it works really well, but for some reason it seems to drain my batteries really fast, any idea why? and heats up fast too

Ultrafire or any of those China brands do not last as long due to high internal resistance. They just can not supply enough current for any appreciable amount of time. The heat is expected ... @ 1.54A these suckers get REALLY hot, that why I highly recommend heatsinking them.

so are the 500mA drivers in stock? the OP still said it was out

Not yet, have not had the time to build them.

Don't know if this question has been asked before but will this driver work with two LI-ion 3,7v ?

Yes ... 2x 3.7V high quality LI-Ions is the recommended power source

jib did you get my pms?

Yes ... Im pretty busy today so it might be late tonight before I can take a look.

If I were down & out that way I would, but for now I'll have to settle with the system. Besides it's humid enough up here these days, feels a lot like Texas does in July :D

@ JakeGT ... resistors for 310mA is the closest I could find in stock ... will that do?

@ bh ... had to order parts so Ill have your 10 drivers ready when you need em.

Yes, I'll take the 250 and the 310 and one 500mA. If you could just hang on to them for me, that'd be cool. I don't need them for 2 weeks

Re: FS: Jibs Linear Drivers - 500mA, 1.3-1.6A, 1.8A

I am a bit confused about the power spikes now.
For example 1.3A will it run stable with or withou a heatsink ?
Thanks.
