I've got some Jib drivers in stock and ready to ship!
I plan to honor Jib77's original asking price for these drivers. Because I charge $2 shipping on all my orders, these drivers will be $2 less than Jib's original "shipped" price.

1.25A Driver - $7ea.

Specs: (as stated by Jib77)
Size: 10mm x 14mm
Max Current: 1.3A +/- part tolerances (tested w/ 4V dummy load)
Min Vin: 6V (4V load)
Max Vin: 9V (limited by input cap rating)
Continuous Ground

1.8A Jib Driver - $13ea.

This driver uses a longer board than the 1.25A version.

Glad these are back, do you have any other currents than 1.8A and 1.25A?

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

What are you wanting? I have limited quantities so I didn't want to make a bunch of 500mA drivers that would take forever to get rid of.
I also figured people can simply remove the 1ohm resistor from the 1.8A driver and this will give them ~565mA by just leaving the 2.21ohm resistor in place.

Yes, I will be looking for the 500mA later in the year.

As it is i've been spending to much on lasers :undecided:

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

I got the boards from Jib in the mail today along with some other supplies. Now i'm just waiting on my order from Mouser to arrive, which i hope will be tomorrow. Once they arrive, i should have the drivers made same day.

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

According to USPS tracking my Mouser order will arrive in the morning.

I'm aiming to have all driver orders packaged by tomorrow night and on their way Friday morning.

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

What kind of heat sinking is required to get these to function at their operating current?

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

These drivers are small, so running them at 1.8A your going to want to heat sink them to something.

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

Heatsink example with "fingers" broken off an old motherboard heatsink:

For the 1.8A you will want to thermally epoxy it to the inside of the pill, or if space allows it, the inside wall of the host, or on the heatsink itself.

Began assembly today. More time consuming than expected!

I'm almost done with the 1.25A drivers, and have the 1.8A drivers partially assembled (one side done)

Re: FS: Jib Drivers 1.8A & 1.25A

Nice to see these available again. I hope the 1.8A ones last until payday next Friday. Of course I just realized I forgot to order the 14500s that I planned on powering this with.

Stuffing those caps is a pain in the arse! Its tedious work for sure. When I have time I'll put feducials on the PCBs so they are pick and place machine friendly.

Had order 4units of 1.25A type last week. Guess it had been shipped rite?

Since he was still finishing them yesterday, odds are they didn't already ship ;)

Peace,
