I doesn't get much easier than this. This host has been made to run on 1 cr123 battery and a flexdrive. Just build your aixiz module and solder the one wire sticking out of the host to the driver, slide the module in and tighten the set screw and that is it. This host is 4" long
25.00 shipped.

Nice work-- good price for the custom HS alone..

Did you make a pill from the board that used to have the LEDs on it??

What holds the HS in the host??

cave-man easy for sure..very tempting+++++

I'll buy it! Since the deal on the $50 built one blew on by. I will but his one! And, I like it more :D Thanks for offering such a thing!

I got a lot of this host and I was just wondering, how did u make it work w/ CR123a? And also, why did you convert it to that when it's probably easier and cheaper to just leave it as 3x AAA?

Im interested in buying one of these. This wire, that is sticking out, is for positive contact since the - on the flexdrive is continuous with the battery's negative terminal, am I correct?

yes that is right. you can also connect a wire from the case pin on the diode to the negative side of the driver.

Ehgemus,

I've just sent you a payment through PP for this host.

Thank you,
gillza

got the payment just give me a week or so to get this finished.
Thanks. Sure. I'm still waiting for the driver anyway :)

EDIT:
The host arrived yesterday on 07Sep2010. Thank you!

Sorry for the double post.

Ehgemus,

Is there something else present besides the switch in the tail part of the host? I notices a high pitched whining sound when I turn the laser on. And if I connect the battery to the diver bypassing the switch the beam is noticeably stronger and the noise is gone.

I had similar issue when I used the Dorcy Jr. host for a blu-ray built and forgot to remove the original driver. Might there a resistor?

P.S. Problem solved :) opened up the switch, found nothing wrong with it. Removed bunch of glue from the points of contact. Sound gone, beam is brighter.
