Hello,

I had this on eBay, but it never sold so I'm going to have a mini auction type thing here.

Item:

:D!!<150 HOURS ON THE TUBE!!:D

This is a full system: Head, Umbilical connectors and the power supply. They are all in very good condition, minus a few scratches. Everything works well. It emits laser light at the 441.6nm blue line after it's 5-10 minute warm up period ( Cadmium must vaporize in order for it to lase ). It will reach it's full power after around 20 minutes after which it should output around 34mW if it's still in spec from the factory test in 1994.

Bidding:

I'd prefer to have offers from people in the UK only, but if you are overseas I can arrange some form of shipping. I'd like to start bidding at £52.50 ( $86.57 US ) if you would like to bid, please post in this thread with your bid. AUTO WIN AT £150

Shipping:
This laser is very fragile, the buyer must take all responsibility for any damages that occur during shipping. I will package it as well as I can. The power supply will be sent separately. Shipping will cost around £40 +/- £5 in the UK. To the US it would cost around £150-160 ( $263.80 ).

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy :D.

Why is the shipping so much? Aside from the need to be well padded to protect the tube, is it really heavy?

The head is 85cm long and weighs around 10-12lbs. The PSU weighs around 28-30lbs. So yes, it's really very heavy. I felt sorry for the post man who delivered it to my door ;).

Yes, it's quite heavy when you include the HV power supply..

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see your post Diachi

It's fine. :)

This PSU however is rather more heavy than other HeCd power supplies. This HeCd uses a heated cathode, so it needs a large cathode transformer in it which adds a fair bit of weight to the PSU.

Hey diachi, if you could calculate shipping to Denmark I might be interested :)
