Right now i'm offering 2 types of heat sinks. They aren't made to fit inside of anything specific. So you decided what they can or can't fit into.

#1 - 1" Outer diameter x 0.5" Length. Fits standard Aixiz or 12mm modules. one standard 6-23x1/8" set screw.
This heat sink is $10 Shipped worldwide

#2 - 1" Outer Diameter x 1.35" Length Fits standard Aixiz with same set screw as above. The length is determined by portioned marks of 0.27" for the fins. Intended to house an ENTIRE Aixiz module, this required 5 fins. The overall length is just a little longer than the Aixiz module.
This heat sink is $15 Shipped worldwide.

#3 - This is going to be for scrapped or damaged goods...If your just looking for heat sinking and care nothing of the look, this will be the place for it. Mistakes, and left overs will go in here.

Yes, the prices are higher. I'm discovering just how time consuming these things can be.
I'll be making heat sinks for the Coleman CR2 flashlight (check my album to see it) for $10
Need a specific size/design? Send me a PM.

Guess they are gone then.
Pm sent to lonewolf

Incoming pm to you spyder.

I think there enough left on that bar for maybe 2 more? not sure as it's still on my lathe.

Re: FS: Heatsinks $7

what are you using to bore the holes?
What size and from where?

? the tail stock of he lathe with a drill chuck adapter?
As for the drill bit, i'm going to try a 31/64 HSS drill bit.
I had bought a 12mm bit but everyone says the tolerance on aixiz modules are too great and they would never fit.

for the set screw i have a 6-32 thread tap i'm using since it seems to be the standard with most heat sinks around here.

Re: FS: Heatsinks $7

i used a 31/64 and it is to big, i have to wrap the aixiz modules in thermal pads to take up the space. the space left over is about 0.0139
31/64 = 0.484375
The actual hole size in metal = 0.4864 or 12.29mm
12mm = 0.4725
15/32 = 0.46875 (thermal expansion as you drill will make it larger)
you would be better off with a 15/32 and it should fit it might be a press fit but it should work.
i would try the 12mm first, if it to put some sand paper on a stick and make the hole a tiny bit larger.
then try the 15/32 and last the 31/64

Re: FS: Heatsinks $7

awesome thanks for the heads up.
I'll try the 12mm drill first, if it's just a little tight i can sand the inside to a good fit.
I'm not sure what my old machinist used, but the modules are always real tight. You could still get them out of the heat sink, but the set screws were pretty much overkill. I may call him and ask.

Re: FS: Heatsinks $7

its called a reamer. they are made for precision holes. buy a 12mm reamer and use a bit slightly smaller than it and drill the hole and use the reamer to make it perfect.
The edges a reamer makes are also smoother so you get better heatsinking.

Re: FS: Heatsinks $7

Did you ever find out if you had any of that bar left?
