I'm looking to trade or sell off my DragonLasers Spartan, it has a burnt lens (Frank recommended a replacement lens here: 405/450nm laser coated collimation lens /glass/three layer [OL-405L] - $7.39 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce the lens is visible after unscrewing the front cap). It was measured around 1220mW when the lens was good, it is around 400mW without the front cap now. The host has slight wear marks, post with any pic requests. PM me with any offers, thanks so much!

I am looking for/interested in: 3W+ 445nm laser (will include my Arctic or something if you want to trade for that), 635nm/638nm/405nm high power, or 515nm/520nm. Other options still considered, of course.

just a suggestion; not many people are interested in buying a "broken" or "fixer upper" laser. why dont you buy the lens, put it in and then confirm that the lens is the problem before you sell it. there is a slight chance the lens is not the issue but rather there is an artifact on the diode can lens. if thats the case, the diode would need to be de-canned and that could kill the diode and thus a higher risk of burning out quicker

needle nose pliers work or two small allen wrenches in the holes and twist it out. thats how i get the retaining rings off the tail caps of lasers

My needle nose work on those. Or tweezers. I have done it it with two metal rods before. Whatever you have that fits down there and fits in the holes really.

Edit: LL beat me to it!

My smallest allen wrenches at the moment are 1/16 in... just a tiny bit too large to fit in the heatsink holes. My needle nose pliers tips are much larger than that :/

sand down the allen wrench one one side to use that. id be afraid the pen would break and leak ink out

Hmm... well I tried paper clips+needle nose plier, I just made a mess of the paper clips lol. And I only have one 1/16 in allen wrench, so that wouldn't work out too well. I'll have to look around for some eyeglass screw drivers...
