If you ship them to me. I'll test them. If they work, I'll pay for them. A $7 discount isn't enough for something you think doesn't work.

If they really don't work "out of the box", you should get your money back. If you "used" them and now they don't work, selling things you know don't work is not cool.

Peace,
dave

They are not "new" Jake. You've soldered on them. You've sanded them down. In their condition I wouldn't blame drlava for not warrantying them. You didn't test them before you altered them. Both my offer and my comment stand.

You should NOT be trying to outright sell something that you believe is broken. Especially when you may have been the one who broke them. If they're not actually broke, then I will pay you for them. If you broke them (or they were broken but untested when you got them), they are not worth any money.

Peace,
dave

Try taking a pic under a bright light, its hard to see if there are any traces clip'd from the resizing. If its from clipping the trace, i'd still ask for some sort of assistance from lava, maybe a discount on new ones.

What I dont get, is why after a few revisions of this board, he has not made them axiz friendly, without having to hack at them to get the propper fit :-?

the one to the left i just got a few days ago all i did was solder the wires on, and wired it to my new 803 diode and it dident do any thing, and also i just barly trimmed the edges of the driver.

ill just send them back and pay more to have them fixed i guess

Did you run them on your dummy load first? If you put a diode directly on and it pops the diode leaving an open circuit, the driver will eat itself.

Always run them first with the dummy, set your desired current and be sure not to let it run if the diode blows.

Id imagine this wasnt your first set of drivers, so id email him, send them back and see. He may have had an issue that had similar results to yours..

In the future, test them the second they arrive, you will be in a better position that way. Even though he encourages the cutting down in size, it can open the question of whos fault the failure belongs to. :-/
