[link=http://www.hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=45]Completed Dorcy Jr 100mW 405nm Blu Ray Laser[/link]

Finished making this yesterday, I love it and it has been used for about 5 minutes run time (not continual). I'm going to make a few more tomorrow or the next day so I'm selling this one to help pay for some new parts (more Sure modules & lots of 20x long open can dvd burners). The laser diode is the amazing PHR-803T high powered Blu Ray diode. The laser is built in a Dorcy Jr flashlight with a DrLava Micro Flexdrive (low power 40-150mA, set to 120mA but it is adjustable up to ~200mA which will kill the diode, I don't recommend taking it higher but you can) driver with the regular Dorcy Jr driver removed. There is a nice thick Aluminum Heat Sink made by Dark Horse Customs which helps to dissipate the heat. With a duty cycle (laser on time versus off time) of about 2-3 minutes on and 1 minute off the laser diode will last a very long time.

I posted up a tutorial on how I built this [link=http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1214285108]here[/link] which shows how the laser was built. It took a very long time and was pretty hard work. I feel my price is very fair for a laser of this magnitude.

I have two of these lasers for sale on my site as I'll be building the second laser tomorrow, or sooner if two people buy this.

Asking $174.39 shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day) anywhere on Earth. post here or PM me with any purchase requests, go  [link=http://www.hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=45]here[/link] to see more pictures & some videos of it in action :)

Welcome to macro economics 101. The supply has exceeded demand.

We've taught EVERYBODY how to make a 100mW blu-ray themselves AND given them inexpensive ways to obtain the needed components (sometimes even supplying them ourselves for a quick $10 profit). I have all the components for several builds on my desk. All I have to do is assemble them. They sit there because people want me to sell it to them for as little as it would take them to build it themselves. I am not China. I make a significant hourly wage. My time is worth more than people are willing to pay right now.

Peace,
dave

Thanks for the tip dave, this is for the people who don't know or don't want to make it themselves.. My time is worth a lot as well.. seems like I never have enough. I'm going to make a few of these and I'm trying to feel out the sweet spot price on this.

take it easy,

Re: FS: Dorcy Jr 100mW 405nm Blu Ray Laser - $160

eiffeltower%20copy.gif

gitdcup%20copy.gif

gitdcup2%20copy.gif

For the First customer I'll include this eiffel tower prism and some Glow In The Dark material, similar to this cup shown (or maybe the cup itself), both of which have cool effects with this blu ray laser!

EDIT: I had my first sale and the prism & GITD cup are taken. I just bought some [link=http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=173682]GITD key chains[/link] that use the V10 powder which look AMAZING, i'll include those in any following orders.
here's a pic of one of them, I'm getting the ones in the middle
