Hi, this beauty was custom made by EAC67GT (My dad). The heatsink is anodized black, and come with a custom black anodized focus knob. The host body is a 2D Maglite, and the buyer can choose from pretty much any maglite color (Red, Blue, Grey, Silver, or Black)









(Module and lens not included)

Heatsink weighs in at a hefty 10.3 Oz (292g)

Price: Starting this at $90 shipped in the USA with a 2D Maglite of the buyers choice.

(International shipping available at added cost to buyer)

An awful lot of time went into this beast, especially the milling of all those slots! The tiny slots on the focus knob are not fun to mill ;)

Haha well apparently the design concept runs in the family! ;)

As for the anodizing, my dad is doing some more testing with different polished finishes before anodizing to see how they turn out after anodizing. After he is done testing that, I will post a thread offering those services.

Hi EAC67GT here. I am new to this and machined this host. I was trying to make something slightly different. Maybe I got it right...maybe I got it wrong. I would have to agree with my son that this needs to stay on topic. There is a lot of time in this build and I think it could be finished really cool. Anodizing it would really set it off. It would be easy to anodize the focus knob a different color than the heat sink and then my son has multiple colors of the Maglite’s that could be used with it. I have thought about a build with just the end of the heat sink and the focus knob would look cool. I can make one of these. There is still a lot of time that goes into machining parts like this. There are a lot of possibilities to think about when it comes to machining parts.
I must repeat that we need to keep threads on topic.
