One of the "wrong" hosts that were sent to me.
This is a Cree brand 18650 host.
Has a heat sink which locks onto the stock pill with a set screw. Another set screw holds the module in place.
has a focus adapter built into the head. The entire head spins to focus your laser.
Original flashlight driver is in the pill. You'll want to remove the components and use it for your positive contact point.

The original pictures show a different design...the kits now come with the focus adapter...use the video for visuals.
Oh, and they come in a belt holster

Updated. They're all finished and are now cheaper (Since the work is over :D )

They do look nicer than the original host. You are like the guy in Used Cars that is slashing prices. "That's too f*cking high".:D

Yea well there is more to it than the money for me and I betting by your pricing you have the same mentality. I love the process of building something and having a project that makes me be creative is the best part.
Actually my 1W units have never gone below $150. Which is still a great deal. And I usually only sell something so I can invest in the next grand build.;)

These are the "wrong" host that you got? Are you still doing the others or are they the same?
 
yup these are the "wrong" ones. I ordered the ones in my signature and they sent me the on es that are for sell right now.

The ones in my signature are on their way. They left new york on their way to missouri at around 2am on the 14th according to tracking.
I had gotten a PM from the seller apologizing for the screw up and stating they would make sure the correct ones were shipped this time....then i got a tracking number 2 hours later....so we'll see when they get here.

But yes, we're still on for the ones in my signature. They are just too freaking awesome to give up on.
 
I think I will take one of these "wrong" ones while waiting for a "right" one.
If i sent you $20 tonight could you ship tomorrow?
 
lol. My shit is such a mess now with these hosts and that chinese dealer.

I did find a way to make these work with a focus adapter.
I had to turn down the end of the pill so that the head of the host is no longer locked in, it can slide on and off now. This allows it to sit farther away from the module and thus allowing room for the focus adapter.

I'm washing off the parts and will make a show video explaining it...be about 30 minutes and it'll be up.
 
Im down for one either way if you have something to ship me! I finally have everything i need to do my first 445 except the host.
