Hey guys, ok, was at my local head shop (i sell them crackled uranium marbles as bowl stoppers) and i came across the COOLEST laser shades I have EVER seen.

they are US ARMY ISSUE (paperwork IS included) and will stop up to a .15calibur bullet.

and blocks almost all laser light.

Here's it blocking a 1.4W blue laser

Here are photos of the shades themselves, and all the parts/accesories and the rugged carry case

Got any data from destructive tests?

They look nice but I'm not willing to trust my eyes to something you happened to find at this shop. :undecided:

Can you scan or take a good photo of the datasheet?

Same, i would like to see a scan of the paperwork. $40 is a good price for these if they really block a few bullets :)

But it looks like a lousy laser stopper :) try and measure the OD at different wavelengths to be sure.

This is Tyler. DAoO.

Its all BS. If you look at the right the wall is reflecting all the light that passed through on his hand.

More BS Tyler. What else is new.

What a piece of shit. Scammers are becoming more rampant. AND, I can tell you right now, without knowing anything about them that they are NOT military.

Looks exactly like the shades that came with my fathers laser level from 2002. Strange. my 1.4w blue does the same thing, yeah, at first and then it burns them. I'd love to LPM what is getting past the glasses but I had some problems setting up my LPM.

As an interesting side-note though:

- (real) US fighter jet and helicopter glasses/goggles actually ARE designed/rated to filter out common laser wavelengths.

This is really disappointing. :(

I often get shot in the face when using lasers; this would have been an extremely useful addition to my repertoire of safety equipment.

There are people who think we are fools, but not.

And the specifications that I have, say as follows: BALLISTIC PROTECTION only (LASER PROTECTIVE lenses must be requisitioned separately).

To block possibly some wavelength? I don't know, maybe, but not is designed for laser.

If have property to block some wavelength, What wavelength??? How much OD???.

Glasses are approximately the year 1999-2000.

Here you have the same glasses, but $ 30 cheaper, only $9.99 + shipping.
