Hello Everyone :)

I have for sale a Blu-Ray laser in a Dorcy host. It has the famous PHR-803T diode in an AiXiZ module, being driven by an adjustable Rkcstr driver set at 160mA. Unfortunately I do not have a meter to measure the exact output. According to common results from the 803T diode, the laser should be outputting at least 130mW. The lens is acrylic, back opened. The module is the fully threaded type, and will accept one of Igort's lenses when they become available. It is pressed into a large machined aluminum heatsink, for proper cooling and long life.

The host is a Dorcy 1 watt LED flashlight, model number 41-4285. It has a clicky switch on the tailcap. Power is suppied by three 10440 3.6v rechargeables. The heatsink loads from the front on this model, the only way I could make it work, since the guy at my local machine shop was unwilling to turn the head of the host.

I built this laser in the first week of August, and it has performed flawlessly through three cycles on the batteries, about 2-3 hours of runtime total. I have stuck to a strict no-longer than 2 minutes on duty cycle. The heatsink performs quite well with this duty cycle, and would probably allow for more runtime.

Please remember that 10440 rechargeables are NOT protected, and care must be taken to make sure they do not over-discharge.

Here are some pics:)

I had decided to keep this one for myself, since I like it so much, but a pressing financial issue has forced me to sell it. My price is now lower than what I originally would have asked, due to 2 things. One is that there are some minor sratches and dings in the host from use. The other reason is that the tail clicky switch sticks sometimes. The best idea would be to pick up another of these flashlights(from Ebay or Walmart) and change out the tailcap. The tailcap from this one could be used on the flashlight in this case, as it still works, but is annoying sometimes.

This sale includes the laser and batteries only. The laser will be shipped with a brand new lens installed.:)

Asking price for this laser is $130 shipped anywhere to the US via USPS priority mail, with delivery confirmation. Payment via PayPal only. Serious inquiries please PM me. Any questions, please ask in this thread.

Thanks for looking
