okay, i want a 635nm laser and need the money so i thaught i might try and sell my red if any one would be intrested

i got the diode of a forum member and was told it was capable of 150-200mW
i made the driver myself, its a DDL circuit
it runs off a 9v battery

i dont know what mW it is putting out because i have no meter but it does burn

i have not put a price on because i dont know if anybody will be intrested but if you are name a price because i am open to offers

what driver would i be able to use ? eg my own DDL ???

The data sheet on them says that they need 2.15 - 2.5V and 30 - 40mA. Whatever driver you can get that out of should work. I don't know the DDL. Someone will be able to answer your question

A DDL circuit would power that up, just use a ~30 ohm resistor and you can leave out the pot if you want. For calculating purposes, you need a 31.25 ohm resistor for 40mA.

i have just baught the aixiz line generator from ebay for 15usd which is 10mW and has a driver so i will just change the lense when it comes to a dot not a line lol

BTW would i benefit in any way from a aixiz glass lense ?? eg power, distance, clearness and focus ?

I don't even think you have to swap the lens, just take out the line generating optic in front of the lens.

I wouldn't bother with the glass lens, they are coated for 650nm and you won't notice a difference between the glass and acrylic at that power.

Yes. The line generating optic is simply a small circle of material that is in between the front of the lens nut and the focus ring. You just screw the focus ring off and the optic falls out.

lol thanks daguin, just think its 15usd more for the same thing without the line thingy which im sure i could proberbly use in the future lmao

Jamie - that is a REALLY nice job you did there ! I think it ranks up there as one of the neatest box styles I have seen - you kept everything organized perfectly, good work !

It damned sure blows away MY first box style :p WHEW...thank God I cannot find pictures of it anymore :)
