So one of my customers, Pat, has been hard at work making a classic StarTrek Phaser toy gun modification to put a PHR803T blu ray laser in Aixiz module with a Dark Horse dorcy Jr aluminum heat sink to dissipate any heat made with a Rkcstr microdriver set to 125mA with a 9V battery to power it. The output is 112mW of 405nm light. The gun has a button which is pressed to turn the laser on and and off. Asking $100 shipped anywhere.

Please direct any questions or buying inquiries to Pat @ psims57@sprintpcs.com, Pat wanted me to post this as I have quite a bit of experience posting items for sale on LPF.

Here's videos of the phaser lighting a match

notice the heat shrink around the driver to protect it from potential shorts, I thought that was a good idea. and that's pretty funny simplysped. heh. has no relevance to the quality of the laser, maybe helps the high quality craftsmanship some eh?

Canada is awesome like that.

As for Amsterdam, There are so many things you can do there , legally take marijuana being one ( space cookies ::) ). Bet no one knows what you can do at 14 over there. :-/

Nice phaser though Someone will be having fun with it very soon I'm sure :)

so it seems like everyone is really interested in this thread but not so much in buying the phaser huh?

unless the interested person just emails pat directly, which would be ideal as I don't really want to be a middle man, more of an advertiser.

take it easy guys,

Nice Job Pat, this really turned-out nice. ;) This seams like a very reasonable-price. I wasn't expecting the sound-effects, some how they really add to the overall effect.

Just a slight correction: The heatsink used is custom for this application, it is slightly larger than a "standard Dorcy Jr Heatsink". This allows the halves of the "shell" to hold the heatsink firmly in place, without creating a gap between the shell-halves.
A standard Dorcy Jr HS could likley be used with the addition of a single-wrap of electrical-tape, heatsinking should not be reduced as it is already housed in a plastic-shell.
Thanks for posting this Kendall. This is the first-time I have seen the "Phaser-build" on LPF.
Happy building :)
