Good glasses indeed. I purchased 2 pairs from him. I haven't got a 405nm still.. but hopefully soon. But work kinda well with 445nm. I actually prefer them to my red ones as you can see the fluorescence from different objects even with 445nm and still offer good protection :)

How have these been tested?

Have both the yellow and red goggles been tested?

If you're only offering the yellow ones, it looks like these are strictly for 405nm... you may want to make that more clear in the OP so someone doesn't get a pair, expecting them to work for 445nm.

I know this thread is a bit old. But do you still have any of these?

Note his location....

Even if he still has them - and bear in mind the yellow ones are for 405nm ONLY - shipping costs would more then offset the low price.

Thanks for your concern infinitusEquitas.
I was aware they are for 405nm. I saw his fifth post on this thread .
That says, two pair for twenty, with shipping included.
I thought that was a good deal .I won't mind waiting a while for them to arrive from his location. I would rather support a member of L.P.F. Than a china website.

So long as you're aware it's all good.

I'm a little concerned that the question of how they were tested was never answered, and "As far as i know these are the same type as the ones sold by scopeguy20." is the only basis for trusting them. Supporting a fellow LPFer is something I'm all for... but not at the cost of damaged retinas.

I will be testing these Link for 405nm and 532nm, in the same manner as I have done with 445nm here Link tomorrow.

Actually,i still have alot of these in stock, but the offer is now 27$ with shipping inc. for two pairs. As for your concerns about safety, and testing i will be donating a pair of yellow lens glasses for 405,and a pair of green lens ones for 445nm for testing purposes.
Post a reply in you got proper equipment for the test them and one lucky member will recieve them.
Thanks for the feedback and opinions

You mean to say you've been selling these for over six months now, but never bothered to test them yourself, or have them tested before?!?!

The thread has been opened for six months,i have sold like 6-7 pairs to people who know what are they buying, noobs dont even bother bying them.I have only tested them for brightness reducing with a 12x 700mw 405 and 1.5w 445.The test gave better results for 405 nm so i advertise them as 405 blocking.

Looking at the beam/dot does not equate any kind of testing.

At a minimum this is testing:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/cheap-safety-glasses-tested-71621.html

I'm not 100% confident recommending those goggles even after that... simply looking at a dot is not enough!

Thanks

No war. I just take goggles very seriously.

If you send me a pair, I will do a destructive test on them in the same way as with the uvex pair.

For 405nm my most powerful laser is 700-800mW, but I'm expecting something closer to 1W from lazeerer in the next few weeks.

Received mine today!

Seems to block my 405nm 200mW completely but I don't have an LPM to guarantee. If I point the laser at the goggles only a very light yellow dot goes thru, it's not the laser because it doesn't have an interference pattern - must be fluorescence from the goggles.

Bought it because of the fluorescence "enhancing" effect and it does work much better than either naked eye or my previous green goggles. I can see small imperfections on the wall and lots of things that I hadn't noticed fluoresce. Many plants glow red and my 16340 batteries emit a very nice shade of orange! Even found my ID has a very light UV text that I couldn't pick before :)

As for 445nm protection it does block some of it but I don't think it's nearly enough to be safe - I can still clearly see the dot of my 445nm 1.1W at 5m away during the day. Wish I had an LPM to add some numbers.
