Re: Pre-Order: New 445nm Kit!

Oh lol stupid me.
OP edited and added price...

Re: Pre-Order: New 445nm Kit!

So all I need is a diode and a driver to complete the build?
Please tell me where you got this nice driver you used - or can you sell it with the host?

What voltage drop does it have? I have a similar driver but it has a voltage drop which differs from 0,75 to 2,5 Volt which SUCKS.
I tried to use it with my red diodes which require 2,4 Volt.... but I couldnt figure an assembly which would provide the correct voltage output.

So I destroyed the diode by using too high voltage...

Re: Pre-Order: New 445nm Kit!

im gonna have to get in on this. very nice. let me see what my funds situation is

Re: Pre-Order: New 445nm Kit!

Well if by the end of the day there isn't a few interested people then i'll just finish up the rest of my blue kits and use them to fund these hosts. At least then I could take my time with building the new ones.

these are easily the coolest lasers i've ever handled. small, black, slick, and the damn head twists to focus the laser, it's craziness!

Anyways, i'll check back later. I'm going to go work on a couple other hosts and maybe make some focus adapters for this kit. Hopefully work will leave me alone this weekend so I can get some things done on the lathe.

OP updated. I'm no longer going to do a pre-order. This will avoid me going into a frenky about getting things done.
Right now i'm taking name of people who think they may want one, when they become available. Once they are available i'll go down the list in the order received to collect payment from those who are still interested. This will most likely be 1-2 weeks away.
Full information in the original post.

Also a change in kit price as well.

Oh man, that price drop makes these all the more tempting.

Edit: Must...resist....

OK Moh... you hooked me...
Add me to the list for 2 shipped to Quebec Canada..

Stop tempting me with hosts people!

Ill take one. Lol... I am spending too much money on hosts and not enough on components to assemble them.

Alright i'll add you.

I was just playing with my personal build. It seem the duty cycle is around 2 minutes. This is how long it runs before you can start it feel the host heating up.

I'd like one!

I still havent done anything with those 5 heatsinks I bought from you, besides practicing and killing my first 3 diodes:) I remember looking at this host on DX a while back and thinking, "Even if i had any means to make custom heatsinks, one for this host would surely not retain the cool focusing head, too hard.." And there it is smooth like butter, functional, AND makes more sense than using that Aixiz ring.
