I've got about all the focus adapters made. I did have plenty of heat sinks but with the set screw idea i made have to remake them. Depending on where i'm forced to place the set screw on the pill i may have to make them with a lip long enough to reach it.

They are wanting to stop delivering on Saturdays to save money now. Another example of any business run by the government. Government run businesses = FAIL.

or they could jsut raise the prices a little. They'd still be cheaper than UPS...

I am thankful that they work on Saturdays though, even if they do take those Federal holidays off.

I would of been thankful if they had delivered mail today. I could be packaging up kits right now

Yeah... I like having the day off, but wish they didn't so I could take better advantage of it.

Once you get the set screws ironed out I'd be very interested in one for a 405 build I'm currently planning. Looking forward to any updates so I can place an order.

I forgot to ask will a rkcstr driver fit in there for a 2x123 build? I'm just curious since I already have the batteries and drivers on hand. I could order one of drlava's boost drives and a 18650 and charger if I have to but if I can save an extra 50 in parts that'd that much toward the second 405 6x project I have in mind.

I'll check that out and let you know. I highly doubt it will fit inside the pill, But with some modifications you will probably be able to simply mount the driver directly on the diode with a spring on the end of the driver.
I'll take some measurements and post the results tomorrow.

Alright so I got home from paramedic school today ready to get these kits going, and they sent me the wrong ones!!!
This is either bad, or very good. Bad, simply because they are not the hosts i ordered. But it may be good because of the hosts they sent me instead.
I opened the package to discover 10 cree Q5 hosts. I have tried to find these hosts for sale but can't. They seem to be very good quality as well. Much better quality than the ones i was suppose to get. The thread are soooo smooth. Clicky is good, and it uses the same focusing system as the original.
At first i was upset until i inspected these hosts. They are 18650 hosts (thank god!)
They seem to be of much higher quality compared to the ones i ordered. the hosts have some weight to them, the threads are super smooth and it features the same focuing feature as the ones i had ordered.
They look and feel like much higher quality hosts than the original.
So assuming everything works fine on them i have every intention of keeping them.

I need to contact those who have paid and go over this with them. I'll need a yes or a no on if they want this host.
Price will not change, and it will still have the same features, just in a different body.
If you feel you do not want this, simple send me a PM and i'll shoot you a refund until i've got the original hosts ready.
I'm including this msg in the thread and a pm to all people who have paid.....then i'm off to the basement to work on these.

These hosts are a lot shorter than they look in the picture. My camera seems to stretch things for some reason.

I've just come from my cave. These aren't going to work. There simply isn't enough room for a heat sink and focus adapter.

What i'm going to do is refund everyone's money for now. I'm going to contact the seller and complain, then order more and hopefully they will send the correct kits this time..
These wrong hosts will just get turned into standard kits with no focus adapter and probably sold off on the forum.

Hey moh, about how long you think it is going to take to get the original hosts back in stock??

Well it only takes a couple of days to get these once they ship. The seller usually ships within a day or two.

I just sent them a message explaining the situation and asked for another order of 10. I also asked them to ensure they send me the correct flashlight this time.
