Re: FS: All my laser goodies.

Now now, there is enough room for all of us here.

Now, never minding the fact that (de)rangedunits is so stoned or high most of the time he can't even put together a coherent sentence...

Anyway. Let's not get too personal about tweaking and drug habits here. Each to their own.

He's also known to be a fanboii (ahem, cough cough). But then again I thought I'd leave the whole fanboyism (AMD vs Intel, ATi and nVidia shit-throwing contests) behind when it came to lasers. Obviously not. Or then there's incompetent, incapable beings like rangedunits who also just happen to be both. Ah, the best of both worlds.

^^^^ FYI... that sensor is an old Surplus Coherent head that cost
$34.95 on eBay a few years ago...
I know because my old Kenometer has the same Coherent Head..

Jerry

Just because it cost that much to buy doesn't mean it's worth that much.

Case-in-point:

A friend of mine got me a pair of AMD Opteron 2220 processors a few years ago for $25 apiece.

Back in 2008 they were close to $750 new, and at least a few hundred dollars as a used pull.

I got them for $25 apiece. Did that mean they were only worth $25?

I could have passed them off for much, much more (considering they were in near-new condition). They were worth much more than I go them for.

Same goes with these thermopiles. It'd easily sell for more than $34 these days, especially considering this one's been taken care of, and is likely to be in pristine condition.

Re: FS: All my laser goodies.

Ok here's the deal. This is my garage sale. You come and look and don't like what you see and you move on. You don't hang around and tell every potential customer what you see wrong with every item on the tables. You don't waste the time. What makes me and my items so much more worth your time to slander and defame? Why do you feel the need to discredit and slander me personally? Have I come to your home and done the same thing to you? HELL NO! I respect you as a person even if I don't care for you. I EXPECT the same in return. Enough said. If you like the meter as much as I do, you see the value and will be interested. If not, move on. There is obviously nothing here for you.

nuff said.

Hey Kenom I seen the pic with the kryton Prototype is it still for sale? Is the anodized green also for sale or just there for representation in the pic

Re: FS: All my laser goodies.

I own one of these first generation Kenometers, with same sensor, just without all the upgrades. This powewr meter after 3 years still reads accurately from 400-660nm at very wide power range. I love it. I wish i could get this upgraded version now, but i can't justify the purchase.

Kenom, if you don't sell it at this time, i'll be interested to hear from you in near future.

cheers

Re: FS: All my laser goodies.

As newcomer to this forum, I have to say, I've never understood why so many posts that mention an LPM seem to devolve into a bunch of drama and in some cases outright insults.

Now I realize that there are several people involved here that sell LPMs, so I get the threads that end up being somewhere along the lines of "Well my product is better then his, because of XYZ". That makes a certain business sense and some of these products do actually help support folks. It's just when it devolves so much, that it really does baffle me sometimes.

Anyway, this reply wasn't meant to call anyone out, it's just my outlook on things.

Kenom,
I've never really seen you around here since I have been here, although I certainly know OF you. It's a shame you feel the need to leave. I'm sure I could learn a lot from you, but I understand that sometimes it's just best to move on. Good luck with whatever you are moving on to.

I'm adding a Kenometer Pro. This is the latest Kenometer pro model with the pc graphing and ophir thermopile.

Asking price $450 shipped anywhere.

This is literally the LAST Kenometer Pro I will ever build.
1yr warranty reads up to 5W
comes with:
Kenometer Base with all the required cables
2x 14500 batteries
Ophir Thermopile
Luminosity software for PC graphing disk and users instructions.

Not up for debate on the price or value of the meter.

I wonder how long it's gonna take for people to say, I'll give ya $200! $450? It's not worth that, blah blah blah

Hopefully EVERYONE can be adults and act like it throughout the rest of this thread
Sure wish you had an extra kryton groove
