This laser uses 2 Rkcstr drivers outputting 800ma! It is powered of 2 18650 or 18500 batteries. (18500 batteries are used by removing part of the handle) It burns like a champ! The diode is in a aixiz module which is covered in copper tape and snuggly inside a 2" diameter heatsink. The heatsink i also about 1" long. (Probably one of the biggest pointers around.)
Feels very heavy in the hand, and could definitely double as a black-jack.

There is also an EZ focus knob on the end which is another about 1" long and 1.5" wide piece of aluminum.

Included with the laser is the EZ focus knob, and 2 18500 batteries.

(Heatsink in front of laser is to give an idea of the size of the actual heatsink inside the laser. Please note that the one shown is slightly longer than the one inside the laser)

Please note goggles and charger are not included with laser.

Price: $250 shipped with case!
Thanks for looking! :D

Now that heatsink has got some mass, i think you could bump up the current a bit with that one.

I could, but it would require a driver with a higher output. This one is maxed right now. But this also offers very long life span for the diode with a very long if any at all duty cycle.

Ya, me too. With this build, it shouldn't really have any chance of dying no matter how long you run it. So there isn't really a risk in killing this laser as there is in most other ones through prolonged use.

Re: FS: 800ma Epic Host 445nm Laser Pointer Super Heatsink

Hate to triple post, but the laser has had a bit of an overhaul!

It is now running at 800ma with 2 rckstr drivers!
Has an estimated battery life of ~3 hours with 2 18650s!
~750mw*
*This number is an estimate based on other people's tests.

Come Monday, I may buy this from you, though I'd appreciate where I can get a good lead on buying goggles and a charger for the unit. I doubt I'd need the case.

Frankly, my car's in the shop, and Monday I find out what the battle damage is...if I have enough left, I'm buying this.

Also, mind posting a pic of the beam on this monster?

Is that a laser or a mace?
I don't see a beamshot so I hereby declare it a mace.
Great heatsinking mass there. Tho personally I'm fond of high power in a tiny build.

Ya, I'll try to get a beam shot. I can include the charger for you if you need it. For goggles I would reccomend the OEM GB or Dragon Laser Goggles.

Well, it's both actually. Ya, I understand that, for me though with the high power builds, I like them to have a little more weight to them, actually makes them look/feel more significant. (and its harder for me to lose it! lol)

I will not be able to purchase this from you, unfortunately. It's an excellent laser, and I would if I had the funds, but I'm afraid it'll probably be bought by the time I do have the funds.
