FS: 500mW 808nm Laser - CLOSED

For sale is my BRAND NEW Built and working 500mW 808nm Laser. Its in a pen style host, looks and feals REAL nice. I have uploaded a video of it burning black electrical tape  ;D Real good burner. It has only had the few minutes use to make the vid and to test, hell...it didnt even get warm!. Selling due to my graphics card AND monitor both going FUBAR. I bought a new monitor and now need a new graphics card - hence the sale of my newly bought laser  :'(. You will receive the tin case, batteries (2x AAA) and laser.

Video - Shows violet, but in real life its just a VERY DIM RED DOT / NEAR INVISIBLE, the cameras technology makes it look violet

It is focused to a point BUT you can move the focus lens to focus it to your liking (Remove the end cap and move the small "circular screw mount" that the lens is fixed to - Like CNI Lasers.

That thing is definitely not 500mW. Judging by how terrible it burns, it looks as if it's like ~80mW :-/

there isn't much to elaborate on, that doesn't burn well for a 500mW laser, that's all. It could just be the tape or focusing though :-?

Hmm, It was a roll of electrical tape for sealing exposed wires etc lol. It goes thru trash bags pretty quick

My 30mW green burns just as well.

If it was 500mW that electrical tape would be pouring smoke.

You obviously haven't seen smoke pouring out of tape due to a laser  : My red that peaks at 93mW gives off more smoke than that 500mW of yours.

my meter can read anything up to 1W at any wavelength ( well not radiowaves or x-rays   ) I'll meter it for you if you want, but you need to pay for shipping both ways.

Ok...well would you fancy giving a reading for this laser? If its nowhere near what its stated, ill send it back for a refund or replacement ;D Im in UK so postage should be quick and cheap
