Hey everybody! It's time for me to start selling off most of my stuff...I've accumulated too much stuff and I need cash for a couple crazy projects I'd like to attempt. So...first off is the diode bank off of my "laser shotgun". This bank has treated me well, and has not had much use. I ran each diode at 3.75A on my gun, which is likely not at their full potential.

The brightness of this bank is terrifying. Shining across my yard at night gives me the feeling that I'm holding a bolt of lightning. This laser is obviously extremely dangerous, and needs to be operated by someone with experience with high powered lasers.

Looking to get $500 shipped to the US. I paid $650 for the module to put things into perspective. Look up "466nm laser diode bank" on ebay for pics/info.

Price drop to $425!

Also to those interested, I will be selling some other stuff soon! Let me know if you are interested in any of the following:
300mW+ CNI 473nm labby $400
DL 589nm Spartan $420
PLP520 B1 Laser diode, used $50
BW Anamorphic prism pairs $20
NDB7A75 laser diode, used $90
CNI 125mW 532nm pen $125
200mW 532nm labby (tiny!) $50 (needs IR filter)
I won't be able to get power readings or ship anything else out till early next week though.

Re: FS: 40W 460nm Laser Diode Bank

Is this the same one you used in your now most popular video?

Gee, I want to haggle, but with the accompanying internet fame I feel disadvantaged. ;)

That's a NUBM05T diode block is it not?

Is the divergence the same as the NUBM07T ?

Also and even more important is does the heatsink come along with it? How about that lovely tangle of two dozen LM317's

Styro, any chance you can post a direct link to your ebay ad?
I can't seem to locate your ad buddy. :cryyy:

I'm not sure on the block model, but it is the one from this listing. 455nm 466nm 28W 32W Blue Laser Diode Bank 8 Pcs 466nm 3 5W 4W Blue LD Inside | eBay

I'd throw in the heatsink for no extra charge! I would like to keep my LM317 bundle for nostalgia purposes though. :)

I apologize I wasn't clear...I was too lazy to post pictures/specs so I was just relaying you guys to ebay for info. I have not listed this there. :D

It is unfortunate that the famous laser shotgun will be taken apart. It should be put on display in a museum somewhere, maybe one of the Smithsonian museums as a monument to the ingenuity, resourcefulness, creativity, and imagination of hobbyists and mad scientists everywhere.

Re: FS: 40W 460nm Laser Diode Bank

It's never a lack of creative ideas, it's always a lack of disposable funds.
I would love to knife edge 64 405nm diodes or fiber bundle them but it's a matter of money and I have a lot of irons in the fire, I'm also always buying and building guns, like a woman with 100 pairs of shoes in her closet I just keep collecting more than I need, it's what I like.

Diodes do wear down over time and new larger single emitters are around the corner and I already have a bunch of stuff I don't use anymore, I should sell some of my old A's and M's but I'm leery about selling finished units to strangers.

But I digress, I have to be frugal with my funds these days and think about what's practical, I hope we see bigger single emitters in the not too distant future, but the block looks like a fun spotlight project and with it's notoriety I'm sure it will sell quickly. I would have to be a cheapskate and get a great deal to buy it right now. Thanks for the offer.

Re: FS: 40W 460nm Laser Diode Bank

I see people needing to use beam expanders more with the upcoming higher power multimode diodes, otherwise your output turns too much into a spray at distance. Would love to see 3 watt output 520nm laser diodes, or a 6 watt 460-465nm blue :) I'm in the same boat with CBoy, unfortunately, would love to have it. I'm trying to sell my high power DPSS 532nm 4W green labby as it is to pay for another project, Arrrg!

How about $450? I need cash to build a 10kJ capacitor bank.

Flash lamp/pulse laser more likely. Possibly a BIG one. :D

Re: FS: 40W 460nm Laser Diode Bank

If these were NUBM07E's or NUBM44'S or even brand new I could be a lot more excited, I will have to come up with drivers, well I could use 8 LM 1084's and series resistors.....I would make an offer, but I don't want to offend.

Well don't be offended but as these are not easy to extract and not really practical in the block with the Gball cans on, and albeit it gently none the less still used I will throw out a not meant to offend offer of 27,500 copper plated zinc pieces of US currency depicting none other than Abraham Lincoln himself. Of course I would pay via pay pal. p.s. I will entertain a counter offer.

:bumpit:
28,765 copper coated zinc pieces of US currency featuring Abraham Lincoln?

:bumpit:
30,000 copper coated zinc pieces of US currency featuring Abraham Lincoln?

Not offended by the offer, but I do have an interested party ATM so I will talk counter offers if that falls through!
