You also got it as a stand alone laser without adding it to an order which is no longer an option. After shipping, packaging, and PP fees I wouldn't sell a single one for less than the $8 anyway. That's why now it says $5 if added to an existing order. Don't fret, you can't buy a violet laser anywhere for $8 shipped.

I forgot to mention and most of you have been good about this but please do not use the word laser or mW in the PP notes. Someone has put the word "laser" in the notes about 5 times. Pretty hilarious I thought. But someone has pointed out that Paypal is hunting down laser sales so from now on just put the power as such "50V" and if it is a divergent laser put down "50VD" Thanks guys.

Very cool, if this is your first violet I also recommend reading the thread about violet lasers and their properties. They are not nearly as visible as green laser. The more closely match the brightness of red lasers. But even then I would say a 100mW red laser is brighter than a 100mW violet. The color is beautiful though and if you get 500-600mW of it you will be in heaven.

I am very familiar with green and red lasers, but this is my first branching out to different color. I am very excited to see it in person for the first time and am sure I will be nothing but pleased!

got it today- it's cool, but the divergence is pretty bad- obviously that's what I expected lol, but is there a way to fix this? Can I remove the module and re-focus it somehow?

You're welcome to give it a shot but I didn't have any luck with the one that I tried it on. To get the module out just get a long thin Pen or something and push the module out the top.
