I purchased this 405nm pen off of eBay because of this thread:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f38/inexpensive-blu-ray-laser-pens-worth-look-46487.html

It is rated at 5mW on the sticker and the auction, but everyone's are testing well over 30mW. It takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). I didn't have any other batteries except for the ones out of a remote (hard to believe I dont have anything that uses AAA batteries), so the photos of the "dot" are not at full strength because these batteries are used and old.

I just bought it because I did not have a "pen" style laser up to that point. I just received it on Monday, and I dont like the long "pen" style pointers, so I will stick to the custom hosts and keychains.

I am offering it for sale @ $20 shipped USPS express (about 2 days) anywhere in the US paid via PayPal.

Let me know if anyone is interested.
Here are a few photos:

But he's offering express. It's either that or a long wait from china.
What is the range of the beam (how far) at night?

Quick note, never shine a laser at the lens in your camera. You'll burn the CCD chip, and will have squiggly lines on all your pictures.

Go ahead and pay $10.37 and wait 2 weeks, for an additional 9.63 you will have it in 2 days. I would have paid the additional $10 for 2 day shipping if there were any for sale when I purchased this one.

It was not aimed directly into the lens.

I'd keep it. Yeah you really cant see the beam and it wont burn, but you can use to see phosphorescent minerals in rocks, liquids, and all sorts of things. Plus Blu-Rays are still unique so they are always conversation starter. Any foggy night, or camp fire, and the beam will blaze.

ATEspo, I will pay you cost for your pen, +$2 for 1st Class USPS. LMK, you can recoup most of your expenditure.
